GOT SCOOTER'S ROOF CLEARED OF SNOW JUST IN TIME FOR AN INCOMING TWO DAY WINTER STORM TO PUT IT ALL BACK ON AGAIN

Another overnight dump of snow but at least for a few minutes this morning we saw a golden sunrise through the pine trees.  By the time Pheebs and I had the Jeep's wheels rolling, skies had pretty much clouded over again.

A BRIEF GOLDEN SUNRISE THROUGH THE PINES

IN FAHRENHEIT THAT IS ABOUT 12 DEGREES

Roads were covered but it was only about half an inch of lite fluffy stuff and easy to drive through. Being Sunday morning there wasn't much traffic around but we did see one car that had gone off the road into the ditch.  Probably happened in the night when it was snowing.

PORTERS HILL LINE WAS LIGHTLY SNOW COVERED
 A CLUMP OF SUMAC TREES

OH-OH...LOOKS LIKE SOMEBODY HAD AN OOOPSY
Our travels took us to Goderich for a swing down around the harbor and a few things at Walmart.  Wasn't long and we were on our way home again.

THERE'S A BIG LAKE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE UNDER ALL THAT ICE AND SNOW
CAN'T EVEN SEE THE WATER ANYMORE
I SEE AN ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN FACE
PHEEBS WASN'T HAVING ANY PART OF THAT ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN .....HE WAS ON THE TRAIL OF A MOUSE UNDER THE SNOW
I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE OUT AND ABOUT WITH A CAMERA THIS MORNING
A SUNDAY MORNING DOG WALKER OUT BRAVING THE ELEMENTS AS WELL
Spent some time on the end of my snow shovel of course and finished removing the last of the deep snow on our Motorhome's roof.  There is a thin layer of ice on the roof itself and that will just have to melt off in due time.  If our 14-day weather forecast holds true that should be the week after this coming week where I see temps for 5 days in a row ranging from 32 to 36F:))
Late this afternoon glancing up from my computer I saw three Cardinals (1 female & 2 males) close together in a small tree.  Knowing I only had seconds to get off a few shots of them before they all split I grabbed a nearby camera.  The shots aren't the best but at least I got some images......

COULD THERE BE A BIT OF A LOVE TRIANGLE GOING ON HERE
AND ALSO A QUICK SHOT OF SQUIRRELLY AT OUR CORN COB FEEDER
Having just written the above paragraph late this afternoon I now see on tonight's weather news a heavy snowfall with accompanying winds is headed our way overnight and predicted to last into Tuesday.  Snow and wind mean one thing....Winter Storm!!

LOOKS LIKE I GOT ALL THE DEEP SNOW OF SCOOTER'S ROOF JUST IN TIME FOR THE NEXT BIG LOAD OF SNOW:((
GROANER'S CORNER:((     Harry Truman was known for his blunt manner of speaking. When he made a speech at the Washington Garden Club, he kept referring to the "good manure" that needed to be used on the flowers.  Some society women complained to his wife, Bess. "Couldn't you get the President to say 'fertilizer'?" they asked.  Mrs. Truman replied, "Heavens, no! It took me twenty-five years to get him to say 'manure.'"

AN elderly man lived alone in the Irish countryside with only a pet dog for company. One day the dog died, and he went to the parish priest and asked if he would say a mass for his poor departed pet. The priest replied: "I'm afraid not; we cannot have services for an animal in the church. But there are some Baptists down the lane."  "I'll go right away Father," the man replied. "Do ya think $5000 is enough to donate to them for the service?"
"Sweet Mary, Mother of Jesus! Why didn't ya tell me the dog was Catholic?" the priest exclaimed.

CATCHING UP A FEW FILE PHOTOS

 BAYFIELD
Not much going on today folks, just kind of another repeat of previous days.  Still cold, still snowing.  Didn't take any pics but I have a few file photos from the past couple weeks that never made it into my previous posts.

I THINK IT WILL BE AWHILE BEFORE ANYONE SITS ON THIS BAYFIELD PORCH

TO BAD THIS FINE OLD BARN COULDN'T HAVE BEEN SAVED
Well, that pretty much catches up my file photos.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( I received this from a CEO that I worked with a few years back. He doesn't want to admit it but I think this is his true experience.  I was having trouble with my computer so I called Richard, the 11-year-old next door whose bedroom looks like Mission Control, and asked him to come over.  Richard clicked a couple of buttons and solved the problem.  As he was walking away, I called after him, 'So, what was wrong?'  He replied, 'It was an ID ten T error.'  I didn't want to appear stupid, but nonetheless inquired, 'An ID ten Terror? What's that? In case I need to fix it again.'  Richard grinned. 'Haven't you ever heard of an ID ten T error before?'  'No,' I replied.  'Write it down,' he said, 'and I think you'll figure it out.’  So I carefully wrote it down: I D 1 0 T  I used to like the little bugger!!

Teacher: “Little Johnny, please spell the word 'pole'.”
Little Johnny: “P-O-L.”
Teacher: “But what is at the end of it?”
Little Johnny: “Electrical Wires, but I can’t spell that yet.”

I'M SURE I HEARD SCOOTER'S TIRES SAYING 'THANK YOU, THANK YOU'

NOT AS MUCH SNOW UNDER THE PROTECTIVE BRANCHES OF A JUNIPER TREE
Grey skies early this morning in our 9F skies.  Hard to get excited about going outside but it at least beats sitting around in the house and doing nothing.  I don't want to reach some point in my future and look back with a ton of regrets about not getting out to do things and go places while I was still able to do so.

ANOTHER VIEW OF THE DOUBLE ARCH BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
I'M WONDERING IF THIS LARGE CRANE WILL REMAIN OR SMALLER CRANES ON SITE WILL COMPLETE THE BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION
Pheebs and I cruised through Bayfield grabbing a coffee along the way.  Skies brightened so we ventured out into the countryside for awhile driving our usual 20 mph listening to my favorite music which right now happens to be 'Chill' on Sirius/XM Satellite Radios channel 53.  I like the funky heavy bass-oriented solid beat instrumentals they play but not so much most of the vocals.  There is a bass guitar/drummer guy lurking inside me but I have never been able to teach him anything.  It's too bad because he just might have been reasonably good at it.

HEY LOOK AT ALL THE CARDINALS......WAIT A MINUTE, THOSE AREN'T CARDINALS, THAT'S A STAGHORN SUMAC TREE
Home again shortly after ten the afternoon was almost a repeat of Thursday's afternoon.  Skies cleared enough to let sunshine through so I wasn't long in getting myself outside and up my tall step-ladder again.  I was determined to get as much snow off Scooter's roof I could.  Using a shorter wood and plastic shovel I usually keep in the Jeep in combination with a square mouth metal garden shovel, I was able to remove about 70% of the heavy snow off the rig's roof.  As I later walked around the RV I'm sure I heard Scooter's tires saying 'thank you, thank you,' because that snow is really heavy up there.  I hope to get the last of the cold white stuff off Saturday.  And, I intend not to let it build up again!!

'HEY WHATCHA DOIN UP THERE DAD'
HOPE TO GET THIS LAST BIT OF SNOW OFF SATURDAY
Twelve years ago today we met Rene & Jim from live, work, dream. and Kelly took a picture of me at the ranch smootching with Banshi the horse.

Just think, only 16 more days left in February, and then we are into March and with a bit of luck, we should begin reaching some +40F days.  Get ready to break out the Panama hats and Bermuda shorts folks:))

IT WAS THE COLORS THAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A driver stops in a small town and asks someone, "Excuse me, can you tell me where this road is going?" The townie says, "It don't go nowhere, it stays right where it is."
