I'M ON BOOK TWO OF MY 'ANNE OF GREEN GABLES' SERIES

GODERICH'S OUTER BREAK WALL AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE HARBOR
A nice sunny bright November morning but we had a cold wind in the air.  No matter, Pheebs and I headed to Goderich with her window down and the Jeep's heater on.  A coffee to go at McD's and down to the harbor we went. Followed that with a stop at Walmart for some stuff and then headed home.

I WAS SURPRISED TO SEE THIS CHARGING STATION NEAR THE PLAYGROUND OUT AT ROTARY COVE
Sunday night was the last episode of the season for 'The Secret Of Skinwalker Ranch'.  This is the only TV show I look forward to watching so now I have to wait until next September to find out what the crew at Skinwalker Ranch encounters through the summer of 2023.  Needless to say, I am always disappointed when they air the final episode each year:((  And I am still not watching any of the news channels.  I can no longer bear to watch our good neighbor and our once-happy second home south of the border literally tearing itself apart worse than ever right now.

THE ALGOMA CONVEYER  AT LEFT AND THE MIEDWIE AT RIGHT ARE IN CLOSE PROXIMITY STERN TO STERN HERE WITH THE CONVEYER AT THE SALT DOCK AND THE MIEDWIE AT THE GRAIN ELEVATORS
THE MIEDWIE IS AN OCEAN-GOING VESSEL

THE HARBOR TUG OCEAN A SIMARD PLYS THE HARBOR WATERS
THE SIMARD STIRS UP A FLOCK OF CANADA GEESE (THE SIMARD IS BLUE, NOT PURPLE)
AND FROM WAY ACROSS THE HARBOR, THIS IS THE LITTLE TAKE-OUT RESTAURANT WE HAD FISH&CHIPS AT LAST SATURDAY
OH AND HERE IS A PICTURE I FORGOT TO INCLUDE IN MY SATURDAY POST.....IT'S MY FISH&CHIPS.....HEY, DID I DO GOOD  WITH MY FOODY PICTURE GEORGE:))
Took one utility trailer load of leaves and pine needles to the Park's recycling area and that was about it for my day as far as being outside.  Inside, I tipped back in my sunroom recliner to do some reading and promptly fell asleep.  I kinda like when that happens in the afternoon.  I really enjoy those little naps and especially so when outside it's cold and inside it is so warm and cozy.  Oh dear, here's a man using that 'cozy' word again.

EVERY TIME I SAY THIS IS THE LAST UTILITY TRAILER LOAD TO THE RECYCLING AREA FOR THE YEAR....IT ISN'T
THE VIEW FROM MY RECLINER THIS AFTERNOON
AND OF COURSE, THIS IS THE VIEW BESIDE MY RECLINER AS PHEEBS WARMLY SNOOZES IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE.....IT'S HER FAVORITE SPOT:))
I finished my Anne Of Green Gables book today and I am so glad I downloaded the whole box set because I have now moved on to the second book in the series, Anne Of Avonlea.  I am enjoying these books so immensely.  I had no interest in these kinds of books before and I am so grateful the idea of reading Anne of Green Gables popped into my head following my reading of The Wind In The Willows by Kenneth Grahame.  And where did I get the idea to read Wind In The Willows??  Read my post from last week entitled, My Cousin Larry And Toad Hall:))

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A French man nearly got away with stealing a number of paintings from the Louvre.  However, after planning the robbery and getting in and out and past security, he was captured only three blocks away when his Econoline ran out of gas. When asked how he could mastermind such a crime and then make such an obvious error, he replied, “I had no Monet to buy Degas to make the Van Gogh.”

Did you hear about that cat who swallowed a ball of yarn?  She had mittens!

  1. Lake Huron looks cold. Lots of wave action stirring up that cold bottom these days.
I’m an avid reader but have never read Anne of Green Gables. I have no idea why but it never appealed to me. Perhaps one day that will change as it did for you.
Your sunroom is always an inviting place in your photos. The fire just makes it more so.
