TOOK THIS PHOTO OF A GLASS BLOWER THROUGH HIS STORE WINDOW IN BISBEE TODAY…..REFLECTIONS & ALL
Soon as I saw the clouds this morning I thought, ‘Brrrrrrrr.!!’ And, I was right. It’s not unusual here in southeastern Arizona to dress for winter in the morning & summer in the afternoon. We reached a sunny 60F today with even warmer temps predicted over the next few days.
FLOWER BOXES OF PANSIES AT THE HIGH DESERT MARKET & CAFE
A number of weeks ago we received an email from a lady in Bisbee. Paula had stumbled across our blog this past summer while in New England & has been keeping up with our travels ever since. She spends the summers in the Eastern States & has been wintering in Bisbee for the last 3 years. She drives back & forth across the country in her little blue Honda & I think this Gal has the makings of a future RVer:)) In her email she suggested getting together for coffee & after a slight flurry of scheduling problems we set a date for this morning at 10 a.m. in Bisbee at the High Desert Market & Café.
For Kelly & I, Bisbee is one of our all time favorite places & we were reminded of that again this morning as we drove up the old narrow streets of the towns characteristic downtown district.
DESPITE THE ‘BAYFIELD BUNCH’ WATERMARK ON THESE PICS…..THEY WERE ALL TAKEN BY PAULA ( I CANNOT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THAT DOUBLE ‘BAYFIELD BUNCH’ WATERMARK OFF THE PICS)
Paula rolled in right on time & we recognized her right away from photos she had sent us while hiking with the BISBEE MULETEAM HIKING CLUB. Sometimes conversations can be difficult but not so this morning & we ended up spending 3 enjoyable hours with Paula. We followed her down town to the old YWCA building where she gave us a tour of something that will be of interest to some fellow bloggers. Janna, Paulette & Karen come to mind.

HEADING OFF TO DO A LITTLE BROWSING
Kelly & Paula decided to wander about downtown & browse a few shops. That was perfectly fine because it gave me an opportunity to wander around a few back streets of Bisbee with my camera. One of my all time favorite things to do & it felt like a beautiful summer day so I was a happy guy. As I have said before, Bisbee is an architectural wonder for photographers & anyone with an ‘artsy eye’ will find many, many, enjoyable hours wandering the streets. Just park your car, throw your camera over your shoulder, switch your mind to ‘creative mode’ & start walking.
JUST A FEW PICS ON A SHORT WALK
We said goodbye to our new friend Paula around 1 p.m. & headed for our favorite little Safeway store in Bisbee’s southwest corner. Another Jeep load of groceries & we were soon heading north up the Sulphur Springs Valley for home. We have a tendency to buy a lot of groceries at one time while here because we have access to a large refrigerator in the house. Sometimes I just plumb wonder if we eat too darn much all the time. For not being a ‘foody’ guy I sure seem to hold up my end of the old feed bag alright…(blurp)
A GLASS BLOWER IN THE CLOUD MERCANTILE STORE…NOTE THE 2 DOGS SNOOZING ON THE FLOOR
While reading TRAVELS WITH EMMA this morning I came across a new blogger in Judy’s comment section who caught my attention. Here is a lady beginning a new phase of her life & working her way through a grieving process. In her own words she says she is “starting over, selling my house and becoming a fulltime Rv'er and Workamper.” The Bayfield Bunch has become the second follower in TERI'S WORLD & I hope she gains many, many more. Our RV blogging community is a very supportive bunch.
SAYING GOODBYE TO PAULA
And, speaking of fellow bloggers, here’s a Gal with some real Gusto. In Sassy’s header she says, “Sold the house and everything in it.....yes, right down to the dishes. I bought a 31' Winnebago Access and a small (5' x 8') cargo trailer to haul my gorgeous 2006 Heritage Softail Classic and decided NO MORE SNOW for me !!! I have been inspired by a fellow rider to live in the NOW !! It started with buying my Harley and has lead up to this......for now !!!” Check out Sassy’s blog here at…..SASSY'S - BACK- ON 'DA ROAD
GROANER’S CORNER:(( A man is driving down a road, when he spots a farmer standing in the middle of a huge field of grass. He pulls the car over to the side of the road and notices that the farmer is just standing there, doing nothing, looking at nothing.
The man gets out of the car, walks all the way out to the farmer and asks him, "Ah excuse me mister, but what are you doing?"
The farmer replies, "I'm trying to win a Nobel Prize."
"How?" asks the man, puzzled.
"Well I heard they give the Nobel Prize to people who are out standing in their field."
