WE NO LONGER HAVE ANY BIRDS HERE:((

SEEN AT EXETER ONTARIO'S MACNAUGHTON PARK THIS MORNING
With a busy morning ahead of us, Pheebs and I skedaddled off to Goderich to pick up a few things at Walmart.  Before that, it was gas, coffee to go, and a spin down around the harbor.  No ships in this morning but I did spot a distant ship far off on the horizon but couldn't tell if it was coming or going.  Kinda reminded me of myself some days.

EVERY VILLAGE, TOWN, OR CITY HAS ITS CHARACTERS AND I SPOTTED THIS ONE IN GODERICH THIS MORNING
IN THE WALMART PARKING LOT I STOPPED AND HAD A NICE CHAT WITH THIS LITTLE FELLOW...I EVEN GOT SOME SMOOCHES
Home again, I changed from warm clothes to cooler clothes and puttered around in the front yard for a bit.  Had the weed whacker going and rolled out the Subaru about 11o'clock.

Kelly's dentist appointment in Exeter was for 12 noon so off we went under semi-sunny and slightly warm temps.  Despite road construction on highway four in Exeter's north end Pheebs and I dropped Kelly off on time at the Dentist then headed to a nice Park a couple blocks away.  There were a number of Canada Geese with families in tow by the river.  There were also more people than usual out walking along the river trail.  With our weather slowly turning nicer, more people are out and about.

SAW LOTS OF LITTLE GOOSES THIS MORNING...YA YA I KNOW THEY ARE CALLED GOSLINGS BUT I LIKE TO CALL THEM GOOSES BECAUSE IT RHYMES WITH MOOSES
It was shortly after noon that Kelly called and said she was ready to go.  They did X-rays on the broken tooth and she will have to go back for a possible root canal thingy.  I'm sure glad I got rid of my troublesome teeth over four decades ago.  We were home about 12:45.  I could see the Subaru was in need of a good vacuuming but it will have to wait.  I couldn't get myself too excited about vacuuming today.

PHEEBS AND I HAD US A NICE WALK IN THE EXETER PARK THIS MORNING
IT WAS A NICE SPRING MORNING FOR PEOPLE TO BE OUT AND ABOUT

Decided to take Pheebs for a walk-walk instead of a camera walk later this afternoon.  That way we could move a little quicker and keep our aging joints in continuous motion.  We did stop for a short rest on the new bench by the Park's pond though and I'm thinking that just might become a nice habit for us guys every time we pass by that way.

HERE'S A COUPLE WITH THREE TEENAGERS

Thursday morning I have to be at the Maitland Valley Health Center in Goderich to see what this supposed fifteen-minute diabetic clinic is all about.  I guess as long as nobody tries chasing me around all over the place trying to stick a needle into me I will be okay.

Our front yard bird traffic has totally dried up and we no longer have any birds here.  I had no choice but to take our three hanging birdfeeders down mainly because of all the Grackles and Squirrels.  It's sad really and I miss seeing and hearing all the pretty songbirds but I just finally ran out of options and patience.  The bird station still stands and just after dusk when the Grackles aren't around, I sprinkle some birdseed on it for a pair of Cardinals who usually fly in just before dark looking for a late-night snack before hitting the sack.

Mountain Ride by a group called Ariell.  I couldn't find any info on the group but this instrumental piece is one of my personal favorites.  It's on my 'Al's Favs' list.  For me, this is a feeling-good piece of music that floats me away to quiet places and pleasant memories.  It carries the very best recollections of our wonderful RVing years.
GROANER'S CORNER:((
A Christian farmer spent the day in the city.
In a restaurant for his noon meal, he sat near a group of young men.  After he bowed his head to give thanks for his food, one of the young men thought he would embarrass the old gentleman. "Hey, farmer, does everyone do that out where you live?"  The old man calmly replied, "No, son, the pigs don't!"

A man put his car in reverse and accidentally drove it into a wall. He took it to his mechanic, who replaced the dented bumper.  A few days later, he actually did it again. “I'm so embarrassed,” he moaned to his wife while he reached for the phone.  “Why not tell him it was me this time?” his wife suggested.  “I could,” he said while dialing, “but that's what I told him last time.”

WE HEARD LOUD CRUNCHING AND MUNCHING SOUNDS COMING FROM ACROSS THE ROAD

BRACE YOURSELVES, THERE ARE 11 COW PHOTOS IN THIS POST:))
Opening our front door this morning we heard loud crunching and munching sounds coming from across the road.  I right away figured it was a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex dinosaur eating our good neighbor Monica's house.  A few seconds later, listening carefully, I suddenly realized it was a gang of roofers tearing shingles off Monica's roof in preparation for an all-new shingles roof job.  'Whewww', dodged a nasty one there.

I THINK THIS ROOFER ON HIS CELL PHONE IS PROBABLY TALKING TO THE OTHER ROOFER IN THE PHOTO BELOW AT THE OTHER END OF THE ROOF

Just me in the Jeep this morning as I headed to Clinton for an appointment with my Urologist, Dr. Bukala.  It was my yearly PSA check from last week's bloodwork.  My low .04 PSA numbers has not changed from last year or the threes before so that means the prostate cancer I had five years ago has not returned.  Dr. Bukala said it would be fine now to simply see my own Doctor once a year for the PSA test so we'll see what next year at this time brings.  I've had a Doctor in Goderich for over twenty years and I've still never met him.  My Nurse Practitioner handles everything.  Strange thing that, eh.

THERE SURE WERE A LOT OF LITTLE CALVES IN THE FIELD AND MOST OF THEM WERE SNOOZING
HEY, WHAT IS THIS GUY DOING IN THE COW PICTURES
Home again, I figured if I could keep a tight rein on myself I might be alright to head out into the front yard and do some light puttering.  So, that's what I did.  Cleaned the frog pond pump as well as most of the frog pond, re-planted some ferns, and filled a few large outside flowerpots with dirt.  I was very careful to not over-exert myself and was back inside the house before one o'clock.  Had the Sun been out today I might have been inspired to stay out a bit longer.  In hindsight, the cloud cover probably did me a big favor today.

WITH ALL THE GREEN ON THIS FELLA I'M CONVINCED HE HOPPED ALL THE WAY OVER HERE FROM IRELAND
Sunshine finally broke through the clouds around 2 p.m. and minutes later Pheebs and I had paws and boots on the ground and on our way for a walk past the Park's pond heading further south.  Warm sunshine and a slightly cool breeze made for an excellent walk through the pine forest with no bugs in the air.

Al's Music Box:)) Dreamboat Annie is the debut studio album by American rock band Heart. At the time, the band was based in Vancouver, British Columbia; the album was recorded in Vancouver and first released in Canada by the local label Mushroom Records in September 1975.  Producer Mike Flicker helped the group to polish their sound and obtain a recording contract with the label.  The album cover was designed by Emily Carr University of Art and Design communication design instructor Deborah Shackleton.  Heart's first radio success earned them a spot opening a Montreal concert for Rod Stewart in October 1975 which prompted sales and airplay to increase in that region and then gradually across other regions of the country, partly because Heart's recording qualified as Canadian content thereby assisting radio stations in meeting their Canadian content requirements.

A LONE HELICOPTER HIGH OVER OUR HOUSE TODAY
GROANER'S CORNER:(( My Grandpa and Grandma were sitting on their porch swing enjoying the nice evening breeze, when Grandpa lovingly leaned over and said, "Hey Ma, I'm gonna have some ice cream, would you like some?"  "Yeah, Pa, but you'd better write it down or you'll forget", says Grandma.  Grandpa replies, "I won't forget." "Alright then", says Grandma, "I'd like nuts and whipped cream and a cherry on mine.  You'd better write that down, Pa you're gonna forget it." Disgruntled, Grandpa storms off to the kitchen mumbling that he wouldn't forget.  Well he's in there a long time, and when he finally does return, he has the best lookin' plate of scrambled eggs you ever saw. He smiles his best smile and leans over to give it to Grandma.  She just smiles back and says, "I told you that you'd better write it down, you old coot, you forgot my bacon!!!".

As the plane was flying low over some hills near Athens, a lady asked the stewardess: "What's that stuff on those hills?"  "Just snow," replied the stewardess.  "That's what I thought," said the lady, "but this fellow in front of me said it was Greece."

A very small boy was trying to lead a big St. Bernard up the road.  "Where are you taking that dog, little man?" asked a man watching the struggle.  "I"m going to see where he wants to go," was the breathless reply.
