Here we are, it's November 7th, and both our outside thermometers are sitting on the 70F mark this afternoon. This is remarkable at this time of year for our area. And it's been like this for a couple days now with another great day on the way Sunday. Sorry for starting another post off with a weather report but sometimes I just gotta do it.

TRULY A BEAUTIFUL DAY ALL ROUND |
|
EVEN THESE COUNTRY COWS WERE BLISSFULLY ENJOYING THEIR DAY |
|
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THIS IS |
|
AND A FEW PHOTOS OF PHEEBS IN TONIGHT'S POST FOR MY AUNT JEAN IN SARASOTA FLORIDA:)) |
Although my mind wasn't really up to par this morning, Pheebs and I did head out through Bayfield venturing south. Beautiful sunny morning and we had our windows down. Have had the doors open at home as well. We even managed ourselves a country road walk. Home again we took the rig for a short drive down to the end of Bayfield River Road and back just to give it a run. I figure it's good for the tires, batteries, and engine fluids to move the vehicle at least once in a while during these now inactive months |
THERE IS SOMETHING HANGING IN THAT TREE |
|
NOT SURE IF THIS IS A WASP, HORNET, OR BEES NEST |
|
THE MOON YOU SEE TOP LEFT IS THE SAME MOON YOU SEE IN BLACK AND WHITE BELOW |
|
I TOOK THIS PHOTO AT 10:07 FRIDAY MORNING |
|
IT IS 'EXTREMELY RARE' TO SEE SINGLE ENGINE JET AIRCRAFT OVERHEAD IN OUR AREA AND FRIDAY MORNING I SAW TWO FLYING TOGETHER |
|
BECAUSE OF IT'S GRAY COLOR I AM WONDERING IF ITS MILITARY |
|
DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW WHAT KIND OF AIRCRAFT THIS IS.....I TOOK THESE PHOTOS MOMENTS BEFORE I TOOK THE BEE'S NEST AND MOON PHOTO |
It felt like a perfect early October day as Pheebs and I headed out this November 7th for an afternoon walk. If only it would stay like this to the beginning of May eh:))
In disappointment last Tuesday night I turned off one of my favorite cable news channels about 10 o'clock and never turned it on again until earlier today. I felt so disappointed about the American political situation Tuesday night that Wednesday was a totally lost day for me. Nobody's fault but my own of course. I shouldn't let things like that bother me, but I do. Pulled up my socks a bit Thursday and Friday and this morning decided to turn on one of my news channels again.....Within a couple minutes a banner flashed across the bottom of the screen and I instantly felt a huge breath of fresh clean air sweep right across the whole continent of North America from coast to coast. Yes Toto, there still is a big slice of common sense left in the land after all and I see hope for the United States again. If only, if only, those two warring political parties and factions could come together now for the common good of America and all its fine people.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( There's quite an art to falling apart as the years go by And life doesn't begin at 40. That's a big fat lie.
My hair's getting thinner, my body is not;
The few teeth I have are beginning to rot.
I smell of Vick's-Vapo-Rub, not Chanel #5;
My new pacemaker's all that keeps me alive.
When asked of my past, every detail I'll know, but what was I doing 10 minutes ago?
Well, you get the idea, what more can I say?
I'm off to read the obit, like I do every day;
If my name's not there, I'll once again start
Perfecting the art of falling apart!

My wife asked me if I could clear the kitchen table. I had to get a running start, but I made it!
