Two great weather days in a row with lots of sunshine and warming temperatures. Will wonders ever cease. Pheebs and I slipped into Bayfield for a drive-around and headed home. I was anxious to take advantage of the weather and continue on with my carport clean-up. First though I decided to get the car washed so I spent over half an hour doing that before resuming my carport project. Somewhere in there I raked up a couple wheelbarrow loads of pine needles and loaded them into the utility trailer. Looks like Monday is going to be rainy.
'HEY DAD, IT LOOKS LIKE WE ARE HEADING INTO BAYFIELD' |
THESE POLES ARE DRIVEN INTO THE RIVER BOTTOM TO ANCHOR THE SEASONAL BOAT DOCKS |

I DON'T CARE HOW LONG I HAVE TO SIT HERE AND BE COLD I'M GONNA WAIT TILL I CATCH A FISH TODAY |
'ALRIGHT ALRIGHT SO WHAT IF I JUST THREW MY FISHING POLE IN THE RIVER, I'M GOING TO JUST SIT HERE AND BE MISERABLE IN THE COLD ANYWAY' |

With an unfamiliar ring on my iPhone coming in, I saw it was Rebecca, Kelly's daughter on the other end using something called 'WhatsApp'. I guess I must have managed to press the right buttons because seconds later I was talking to Rebecca on speakerphone. We chatted for quite a while with Ella and Ricardo popping on as well. Really nice to hear from them. They are all doing well and are in the process of moving from coastal Valencia inland to Teruel. They said if I came to Spain I'd have a place to stay. I talked it over with Pheebs and she said, 'What's the point,' neither one of us can speak Spanish anyway.
IT MIGHT LOOK A LITTLE BETTER THAN A FEW DAYS AGO BUT I'VE STILL GOT A LONG WAY TO GO |

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A busload of politicians were driving down a country road, when suddenly the bus ran off the road and crashed into an old farmer's barn. The old farmer got off his tractor and went to investigate. Soon he dug a hole and buried the politicians. A few days later, the local sheriff came out, saw the crashed bus and asked the old farmer where all the politicians had gone. The old farmer told him he had buried them. The sheriff asked the old farmer, "Lordy, were they ALL dead?" The old farmer said, "Well, some of them said they weren't, but you know how them crooked politicians lie."

ReplyDeleteOur Granddaughter Ashley just spent Seven Years teaching High School Students in Spain how to structure English in sentences. She claimed that even though she enjoyed speaking Spanish, most people spoke English as their second language.
Stay Safe and Enjoy!
