TODAY WOULD HAVE BEEN KELLY'S 77TH BIRTHDAY

Pheebs and I made it out for a short wet walk in the Bayfield Cemetery this morning.
Today would have been Kelly's 77th birthday.
Coincidentally, it was Lorraine's birthday today as well and we slipped over to the White Carnation in Holmesville for supper.  The White Carnation is a short drive northeast of Bayfield.

GROANER'S CORNER

- Is this a second hand shop?  Yes Sir,  Good. Can you fit one to my watch then please!

- Diet rule No1.  If nobody sees you eating it, it doesn't contain any calories.

Dad is down at the auto dealership, looking at potential choices.
“Cargo space?” he asks.  The salesman, slightly confused, finally replies, “Car no do that... car go road.”

  4. Happy Birthday to Kelly and Lorraine. When my dad was alive and lived in Goderich, we often went to the White Carnation for family dinner gatherings. Great food.

  5. Kelly always seemed to have a smile... even when she was hurting. Beautiful lady! Loved the pup in the food dish and the barn in Grand Teton National Park.

  7. I have followed your blog for over 10 years and loved every minute. I was so sad when Kelly died. I know people have to move on but personally thought you have become close to Lorraine in a very short space of time. I read that it was Kelly's birthday today and there you went again! Sorry but I feel you should show Kelly some respect on her birthday and devote your post to her.

    1. How incredibly insensitive and rude. And cowardly for not putting your name on your comment. Kelly of all people would be thrilled that Al isn't alone.

    2. Agree that the comment was incredibly insensitive and rude. There's one in every crowd, unfortunately. Just think of the hurt that has caused to Al, a prince of a human being. Do better ... should be your mantra. Barb M.

  8. Happy belated birthday to both Kelly and Lorraine! Ignore the naysayers - life is too short. Savor every sweet moment. I know Kelly would want that just as Mike & Lin (our late spouses) are happy we found each other.
