WE NO LONGER HAVE ANY BIRDS HERE:((

SEEN AT EXETER ONTARIO'S MACNAUGHTON PARK THIS MORNING
With a busy morning ahead of us, Pheebs and I skedaddled off to Goderich to pick up a few things at Walmart.  Before that, it was gas, coffee to go, and a spin down around the harbor.  No ships in this morning but I did spot a distant ship far off on the horizon but couldn't tell if it was coming or going.  Kinda reminded me of myself some days.

EVERY VILLAGE, TOWN, OR CITY HAS ITS CHARACTERS AND I SPOTTED THIS ONE IN GODERICH THIS MORNING
IN THE WALMART PARKING LOT I STOPPED AND HAD A NICE CHAT WITH THIS LITTLE FELLOW...I EVEN GOT SOME SMOOCHES
Home again, I changed from warm clothes to cooler clothes and puttered around in the front yard for a bit.  Had the weed whacker going and rolled out the Subaru about 11o'clock.

Kelly's dentist appointment in Exeter was for 12 noon so off we went under semi-sunny and slightly warm temps.  Despite road construction on highway four in Exeter's north end Pheebs and I dropped Kelly off on time at the Dentist then headed to a nice Park a couple blocks away.  There were a number of Canada Geese with families in tow by the river.  There were also more people than usual out walking along the river trail.  With our weather slowly turning nicer, more people are out and about.

SAW LOTS OF LITTLE GOOSES THIS MORNING...YA YA I KNOW THEY ARE CALLED GOSLINGS BUT I LIKE TO CALL THEM GOOSES BECAUSE IT RHYMES WITH MOOSES
It was shortly after noon that Kelly called and said she was ready to go.  They did X-rays on the broken tooth and she will have to go back for a possible root canal thingy.  I'm sure glad I got rid of my troublesome teeth over four decades ago.  We were home about 12:45.  I could see the Subaru was in need of a good vacuuming but it will have to wait.  I couldn't get myself too excited about vacuuming today.

PHEEBS AND I HAD US A NICE WALK IN THE EXETER PARK THIS MORNING
IT WAS A NICE SPRING MORNING FOR PEOPLE TO BE OUT AND ABOUT
TWO LADIES ENJOYING A LATE MORNING LUNCH IN THE PARK
Decided to take Pheebs for a walk-walk instead of a camera walk later this afternoon.  That way we could move a little quicker and keep our aging joints in continuous motion.  We did stop for a short rest on the new bench by the Park's pond though and I'm thinking that just might become a nice habit for us guys every time we pass by that way.

HERE'S A COUPLE WITH THREE TEENAGERS

Thursday morning I have to be at the Maitland Valley Health Center in Goderich to see what this supposed fifteen-minute diabetic clinic is all about.  I guess as long as nobody tries chasing me around all over the place trying to stick a needle into me I will be okay.

Our front yard bird traffic has totally dried up and we no longer have any birds here.  I had no choice but to take our three hanging birdfeeders down mainly because of all the Grackles and Squirrels.  It's sad really and I miss seeing and hearing all the pretty songbirds but I just finally ran out of options and patience.  The bird station still stands and just after dusk when the Grackles aren't around, I sprinkle some birdseed on it for a pair of Cardinals who usually fly in just before dark looking for a late-night snack before hitting the sack.

Al's Music Box:))
Mountain Ride by a group called Ariell.  I couldn't find any info on the group but this instrumental piece is one of my personal favorites.  It's on my 'Al's Favs' list.  For me, this is a feeling-good piece of music that floats me away to quiet places and pleasant memories.  It carries the very best recollections of our wonderful RVing years.
GROANER'S CORNER:((
A Christian farmer spent the day in the city.
In a restaurant for his noon meal, he sat near a group of young men.  After he bowed his head to give thanks for his food, one of the young men thought he would embarrass the old gentleman. "Hey, farmer, does everyone do that out where you live?"  The old man calmly replied, "No, son, the pigs don't!"

- Don't bother walking a mile in my shoes.  That would be boring.  Spend 30 seconds in my head.  That'll freak you right out!!

A man put his car in reverse and accidentally drove it into a wall. He took it to his mechanic, who replaced the dented bumper.  A few days later, he actually did it again. “I'm so embarrassed,” he moaned to his wife while he reached for the phone.  “Why not tell him it was me this time?” his wife suggested.  “I could,” he said while dialing, “but that's what I told him last time.”

  2. Squirrels and raccoons spoiled it for us trying to feed the birds. The fine feathered friends didn't have a chance. Very sad.

  3. I'm still at it. The grackles have told their friends though. The black-bellied whistling ducks are back and stand their ground against the grackles. We throw peanuts to the squirrels that keep the grackles from eating the birdseed. Funny, the grackle males will grab a peanut and run to the water dish to break the peanut up in there. Can't figure out way, but maybe to keep the peanut contained as they crush the shell. Sure is fun to watch. Probably won't be long before the $$ spent end it all.
