Haven't been feeling well these past few days but Pheebs and I did manage to get out for a short drive around the Park this morning.
Al's Music Box:)) Different Drum is a song written by American singer-songwriter Michael Nesmith in 1964. The song is best known for the 1967 version credited to the Stone Poneys, featuring a vocal performance by an up-and-coming 21-year-old singer named Linda Ronstadt. It was Ronstadt's first hit single. Ronstadt's version flips the gender references in Nesmith's original lyrics, replacing "girl" with "boy" when describing her lover, but still referring to him being "pretty". Distant Drum was done on the second take with no overdubbing.
