GOODBYE THURSDAY, MAYBE SEE YOU NEXT WEEK

 RAIN PUDDLES
Cloudy day but that was okay because it was in the house I decided to stay.  With my body in need of rest I did my best to not go out in the yard and play.  Except for a ride with my Pal at my side, I found me a new book to have me a look at what stories I could find to entertain my mind.  But days like this I am sometimes remiss to dismiss the bliss in my heart I may not find.  And so went another mid-March day.

I don't know when it was the rains came but when I looked up from my book sometime around mid-afternoon I noticed our wet deck.  Pheebs lay asleep beside my sunroom chair.  Goodbye Thursday,  maybe see you next week...........

Al's Music Box:)) A bit of a different start to the Music Box tonight.  I finished Willie Nelson's biography entitled It's A Long Story: My LifeTonight I have the first four big hit songs Willie wrote in one year that were performed by well-known country artists at the time.  This was the major turning point in Willie Nelson's life where he literally, after many hard and difficult years, went from rags to riches.  Crazy by Patsy Cline.  Funny How Time Slips Away by Billy Walker.  Hello Walls by Faron Young and Night Life by Ray Price.  Willie writes about how these songs and many, many, others came to him.  I found this to be a great book and I have gained a lot of respect for the man, his music, and his honesty:))  So now, how about a song from the man himself.....Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain

GROANER'S CORNER:(( This 60-year-old woman was walking along 5th Avenue when she heard a voice from above: "You will live to be 100."  She looked around and didn't see anyone. Again she heard: "You will live to be 100."  "Boy," she thought to herself, "that was the voice of God. I've got 40 more years to live!"  So off she went to the plastic surgeon. She got everything fixed from head to toe.  When she left the plastic surgeon's office, she got hit by a bus, died, and went up to heaven.  She said to God, "You told me I would live to be 100. I was supposed to have had 40 more years. So how come you let the bus kill me?"  God said, "I didn't recognize you".

"How's the diet going?"
"Not good, I had eggs for breakfast."
"Scrambled?"
"No, chocolate."

- The 1st time I went skydiving I asked the instructor how long it would take to hit the ground if my parachute didn't open.
With a sly smile on his face he said, "The rest of your life son."

- Frustrated, the teen storms into his sister's bedroom. "Why are adults always asking us what we want to be when we grow up?"  Without hesitation the sister replies, "It's because they’re looking for ideas.”

- It was dinner time on a British Airways flight from London to New York. As the flight attendant moved down the plane, she asked one of the passengers:
“Would you like dinner?”  “What are my choices?” asked the passenger.  “Yes or No,” replied the attendant.

  1. Know that feeling. Our rain started this morning and finished just before the news. On the Radar, the storm is going around us, but it could be an all-nighter for you. The bright side is all the flowers that'll be popping up soon.
Stay Safe and Enjoy the coming weekend.

    It's about time.

  2. Glad you had a restful day. Nothing like staying in and reading when it's raining. (A rare event down here, but maybe tomorrow!) I am a big fan of Willie; he is an excellent musician!!
