MACNAUGHTON PARK, EXETER ONTARIO |
INSTEAD OF RE-WALKING THE BOARDWALK TRAIL WE CROSSED THE RIVER TO THE NORTH SIDE AND PICKED UP THE TRAIL THERE WHICH CAN BE SEEN AT THE TOP LEFT THROUGH THE TREES |
THIS IS A STEEPLY ARCHED STEEL AND CONCRETE BRIDGE OVER THE RIVER |
IT LOOKS LIKE A FEW LOOSE GOOSE FEATHERS HERE |
HEADING EAST ALONG THE PATHWAY |
THE TRAIL HEADS EAST TO THE MORRISON DAM CONSERVATION AREA A MILE AND A QUARTER TO THE EAST |
WE HAVE TURNED AROUND AND ARE HEADING BACK TO THE CAR |
THERE IS A PHEEBERS IN THE THIS PHOTO |
AND THERE IS A PHEEBS IN THE PHOTO TOO |
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Advice from An Old Hillbilly:
Your fences need to be horse-high, pig-tight and bull-strong.
Keep skunks, bankers, and politicians at a distance.
A bumble bee is considerably faster than a John Deere tractor.
Words that soak into your ears are whispered, not yelled.

Most of the stuff people worry about ain’t never gonna happen anyway.
Don’t judge folks by their relatives.
Silence is sometimes the best answer.

Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.
If you find yourself in a hole, the first thing to do is stop diggin’.
Sometimes you get, and sometimes you get got.
The biggest troublemaker you’ll ever have to deal with watches you from the mirror every mornin’.

Lettin’ the cat outta the bag is a whole lot easier than puttin’ it back in.
If you get to thinkin’ you’re a person of some influence, try orderin’ somebody else’s dog around.
Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older and think back, you’ll enjoy it a second time.
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave the rest to God.
Most times, it just gets down to common sense.

What are those PINK trees? Magnolias? (The northern pink not the southern much later in the year white). Lovely outing you had. Kelly would probably preferred that to a teeth cleaning, which while a good thing, is not the activity of choice. By the way, when have you had YOUR teeth cleaned?
ReplyDeleteMy teeth get cleaned every morning. I have dentures:)))))
DeleteOh ha. My best and oldest friend has them and says life is easy and good.
DeleteAl, you and Miss Pheebs had the most lovely surroundings on your walk today. Your photos tonight are amazing. Thank you once again for sharing your photography talent with all of us.
ReplyDeleteHi AL. I assume you know this but on the west side of Hwy 4, opposite the trail is Elliott Park which has 8-10 campsites at $5 a night on the honour system. No services but a nice spot if you're looking for a destination for Scooter. They have a dump station there too. Take care and keep on bloggin!
ReplyDeleteThat first photo with the red blooming trees was beautiful.
