I didn't get around to taking any photos today. Hoping to get a walk in on this cold cloudy morning, Pheebs and I headed off to our country road walking spot. Although we were above freezing today a westerly wind chill factor of 25F made the 36F temperature feel too cold. Within five minutes of leaving the warm toasty Jeep, we were back to the warm toasty Jeep, and that was the end of our walk. I will just have to be patient and wait for warmer weather. Warm is always enjoyably good for me while winter's icy cold and summer's heat and humidity turn me into a big climate controlled inside chicken. Thanks to everyone for your continuing interest in the Bayfield Bunch during these cold gray winter days. Better days ahead eh:))

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A husband and wife were driving down a country lane on their way to visit some friends. They came to a muddy patch in the road and the car became bogged. After a few minutes of trying to get the car out by themselves, they saw a young farmer coming down the lane, driving some oxen before him. The farmer stopped when he saw the couple in trouble and offered to pull the car out of the mud for $50. The husband accepted and minutes later the car was free. The farmer turned to the husband and said, "You know, you're the tenth car I've helped out of the mud today." The husband looks around at the fields incredulously and asks the farmer, "When do you have time to plough your land? At night?" "No," the young farmer replied seriously, "Night is when I put the water in the hole."

I'd like some warm weather myself!
ReplyDeleteMy OFM blog adventures are pretty tame right now so I read yours for great inspiration .
ReplyDeleteI too am an inside chicken. Do ya think it's because we're old? Or just sensible.
ReplyDeleteSensibly old I would think.
ReplyDeleteStarting tomorrow we are expecting snow everyday for a week with a total of over 40 inches or so. I have been here 38 years and never have we had snow like this and I sure hope the forecasters are wrong. Keep smiling Al, spring will be here soon.
ReplyDeleteThe winds are relentless out here in the desert, and even from the southwest it is chilly to cold. I too am looking forward to days of warmth and less wind.
