Another beautiful September morning for Pheebs and I on our always pleasant country road walk. Dropping her off at home later I headed into Bayfield on the early side for my 10:15 appointment at the Anjema Eye Institute. I never got into the chair until 12:25. It was a very busy place and the majority of my time was spent waiting in the car. Oh well, it gave me a chance to do some reading in the Subaru's thick manual. The eye doctor said my eyes were in excellent shape and I did not have to come back again but he did recommend I see my ophthalmologist for a new eyeglass prescription.
THERE IS SOMETHING ODD ABOUT THE CAR ON THE RIGHT AND THE PHOTO BELOW WILL SHOW YOU WHAT IT IS |
JUDGING FROM THIS SENIORS PARKING JOB I'D SAY IT WAS A GOOD THING HE ARRIVED AT THE ANJEMA EYE CLINIC WHEN HE DID |
And yes, Pheebs and I did make it out for another moonlight Subie cruise Friday night. And for sure we will be out again tonight with the full Harvest Moon being at its absolute fullest at 9:59 p.m.
Ellen's Groove:)) In this very short clip, Ellen tries her hand at a new fretless bass guitar. Fretless
GROANER'S CORNER:(( The boss wondered why one of his most valued employees was absent but had not phoned in. Needing to have an urgent work problem resolved, he dialed the employee's home phone number and was greeted by a child's whispered, "Hello." "Is your Daddy home?" he asked. "Yes," whispered the small voice. "May I talk with him?" The child whispered, "No." Surprised and wanting to talk with an adult, the boss asked, "Is your Mommy there?" "Yes." "May I talk with her?" Again the small voice whispered, "No." Hoping there was someone with whom he could leave a message, the boss asked, "Is anyone else there?" "Yes," whispered the child, "a policeman." Wondering what a cop would be doing at his employee's home, the boss asked, "May I speak with the policeman?" "No, he's busy," whispered the child. "Busy doing what?" "Talking to Mommy and Daddy and the Fireman," came the whispered answer. Growing more worried as he heard a loud noise through the earpiece on the phone, the boss asked, "What is that noise?" "A helicopter," answered the whispering voice. "What is going on there?" demanded the boss, now truly apprehensive. Again, whispering, the child answered, "The search team just landed a helicopter." Alarmed, confused, and a little frustrated, the boss asked, "What are they searching for?" Still whispering, the young voice replied with a muffled giggle..."Me!"

I've had the experience of two people whom I loved very much die when I was present. Both very suddenly and unexpectedly, and one very recently. Actually, the second death was not in my presence, but in the next rooom and very very soon after I had been there. Doesn't take a doctor or rocket scientist to know when you see it. But nobody knows what happens after that. Nobody on this earth. Still, we are all made of atoms and tiny materials that zoom about, even now there are little particles zooming through our bodies with no ill effect. I can't remember the names of those things. But the energy involved is a mystery, and the energy involved in those particles and our existence and consciousness is a mystery. And there are many explanations offered, including the world religions....but as your author says, the "proof" wont' be found.....I can't believe I'm actually going to post this. But I guess I will.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad you did.
DeleteThere is a thin veil between this life & the next...if we are able to project out consciousness from this life to the next ( who may of us are able to ) this phenomenon could be explained. Do U meditate ? Do it, practice, it might come on handy when ' your time' arrives.🌺
DeleteGlad you've got your moonlight drives back on.
