We have had our Lenova 'ThinkCentre' desk top computer since 2011 and it has performed well for us all these years. However, about 6 months ago it began making some bad sounding grinding noises. Some days it was fine and other days it sounded like an old Massey Ferguson tractor running on half it's cylinders with a large hole in the muffler. We put up with that noise whenever it happened but lately the computer has been losing power as well. The writing was on the wall and the decision was made to replace it before it totally crashed with all our info on board. This morning first thing, I unhooked all 6 wires/cables from the back of our old Lenova and carried it out to the Jeep for it's last ride to the ContinuIT computer store in Goderich. The folks there will transfer all the old Lenova 'Thinkcenter' info to the new Lenova. Hopefully all goes well and we can pick up our new desktop in a couple days.

Love seeing all your lake life. Nice to get a new computer, especially after the learning curve of using it. Some day we'll break the hold the oil companies have on us, until then those fill-ups can be painful.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the new computer will work out for you. We also are sticking close to home right now. We do have to go to Vancouver for one day tomorrow for compassionate reasons and the fuel costs are not even going to be considered. Some things are more important than any amount of money.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your posts and all the lovely photos. In the 7th and 8th pics, the lake is the same color as the sky and the barge looks like it is floating in midair. Great optical illusion. Love the fields. Keep up the great work. : -) Best success with your new pc...the old trusties become family friends.
ReplyDeleteI thought picture #6 looked like the Intrepid was sitting in the desert.
