Aside from a low cloud bank along the western horizon, Pheebs and I had a crystal clear blue sky overhead for our country morning walk. I said a big 'thank you' to the woodland Fairy who came quietly in the night and sprinkled a small flask of magic fairy dust over me to recharge my batteries and enable me to have a better start to my day:))

OUR BLUE SKY MORNING |

OH HOW WONDERFUL THE SMELL OF NEW MOWN HAY |
Feeling the energy, we headed home and I soon had myself busy. Mowed the grass, whacked some weeds, blew the carport and front deck off with the leaf blower, and washed the outside sunroom windows, plus our larger living room window. While I had a bucket of soapy water I also washed the front end of our little Winnebago RV. Pine pollen had left a yellow coating on everything lately so it was time to get a few things cleaned up. |

Kelly had slipped up to the Maitland Valley medical center to drop some forms off and then next door to Dynacare to leave some vials of blood with them. She picked up some groceries, made a few other stops, and by the time she got home she was totally exhausted. |
I DON'T KNOW THE NAME OF THESE FLOWERING SHRUBS BUT THEY GROW WILD HERE |

On our walk this afternoon around the south end of our Park I could already see progress being made by the new owner to get things cleaned up and to repair the damaged areas of the Park that have been recklessly ruined. Old decrepit machines in various states of disrepair and abandonment are being gathered up and either driven, dragged, or trailered to a central location to await their fate.

THE TEMPORARY HOLDING AREA FOR OLD PARK MACHINERY |

I THINK THIS BUZZARD EVEN HAS ITS EYE ON SOME OF THAT OLD MACHINERY |
I was glad to read that NASA has 'finally' commissioned a study team to examine unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs, aka UFOs) from a scientific perspective. It's about time they woke up, set aside their cloak and dagger stuff and shook off their repeated denials!!

FLOWERS IN FRONT OF OUR PARK'S MAIL ROOM |

OH-NO, NOT ANOTHER DARN SELFIE |
I am currently reading a book called Between Two Kingdoms: A Memoir of a Life Interrupted by Suleika Jaouad. This is a heart-rending true story of a young lady diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 22. It is her life before the diagnosis and her extreme difficulties and struggles through and with chemotherapy, family, friends, experimental programs, hopes, disappointments, pain, and agony. All this is interspersed with dreams, hopes, and plans for the future. It is a story of courage and determination. I haven't finished the book yet but her brutal honesty and tenacity have certainly piqued my interest and endeared me to the story of her life and death struggle. This book made the New York Times bestseller list.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Two guys are talking about their boss's upcoming wedding. One says, "It's ridiculous, he's rich, but he's 93 years old, and she's just 26! What kind of a wedding is that?" The other says, "Well, we have a name for it in my family." "What do you call it?" "We call it a football wedding." The first asks, "What's a football wedding?" The other says, "She's waiting for him to kick off!"----------------------------------
Glad you woke up perky, but not so glad to hear Kelly tired herself out so. Is that a wind turbine connected to some farm buildings? And surely that farmer is not carrying a hula hoop, right? Something to measure with?
ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the flowers. Happy to hear your energy level perked up and my thoughts continue to be with Kelly.
ReplyDeleteCould you please make it a desert fairy and send it my way? So enjoy your pictures. We're breaking heat records and our flowers have given up. Hope Kelly gets some rest and takes good care of herself.

ReplyDeletePerky is good! Some great pics today, and the countryside around you is amazing, thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYes, perky is good! I think that shrub with the golfball size white flowers is Ninebark. The bees love it!
