I WON'T BE DOING THAT AGAIN!!

Rain rolled in early Wednesday night and hung around on and off right through till morning.  With the rain came a low morning cloud cover creating a few fog patches across the landscape.  Sunshine finally broke through shortly before noon.

 A MISTY LANDSCAPE THIS MORNING
Pheebs and I ambled our way into Bayfield checking out a few of our favorite places.  Boat docks are filling up and I saw a group of guys getting ready to install the main mast on a waiting sailboat.

IT WAS MUCH FOGGIER CLOSE TO THE LAKE MAING THESE POLE WALKERS HARD TO SEE ON BAYFIELD'S SOUTH PIER
I THINK THOSE FELLERS ARE ABOUT TO INSTALL THAT TALL MAST ON THAT SAILBOAT
Slipping through Bayfield we headed southeast out into the countryside.  Patches of mist hung low in a few spots.  Had us a walk in the Linfield Wildlife area on Pavilion Road.  On our morning travels we stop at this location more than any other spot in the area.

Continuing east I snapped a few pics along the way while admiring how things are growing and how green and fresh everything looked after the overnight rain.  Corns up about 6 inches already and the bean fields are sprouting.  It's late Spring in southwestern Ontario and I'm glad to be here.

As per our usual routine, we were home well before noon.  I generally like to download and edit all my photos right away and get the blog started before reading a bit and grabbing a few early afternoon zzzzzzz's.  Following that, I head back out the door to do some puttering and take Pheebs for a walk back through the forest.  Well, what's left of the forest that is.  Chain saws were going full tilt again this afternoon and I could hear more tall pine trees coming down.

With her departure date from Spencerport NY slated for this coming Sunday, Kelly has begun the process of jumping through hoops and over barrels to get herself successfully back across the border.  First thing was a Covid test and she got the results from that today.  Negative:))  Pheebs and I are really looking forward to her getting home Sunday afternoon.  And speaking of Kelly, below are a few of my favorite photos of her.  Now, I apologize for the quality of the photos because I copied them off of a Facebook page.  I do have the clear originals but with this being a spur-of-the-moment thought near the end of tonight's post it would have taken me hours to find them in my countless thousands upon thousands of photos.

I haven't mentioned too much about food this past 6 weeks since Kelly's been away simply because I don't eat very much anymore.  I did have a go at making omellets for a while but when I ran out of eggs I pretty much gave that up.  Wednesday night for supper I had half a small can of chicken noodle soup and tonight I finished off the other half.  I really can't eat much anymore anyway and I just don't like cooking to begin with.  I never was much of a foody person and I'm a whole lot less of one now.  Peanut butter and honey are two of my mainstays along with Special K cereal, oatmeal, and Glucerna.  Glucerna is like Boost or Ensure only it's a diabetic formula.  Tastes great and I love it.  I drink scads of skim milk and sugar-free orange juice and oftentimes I mix them together.  I eat one low-calorie oatmeal cookie for breakfast and a chunk of Kolbassa sausage for lunch.  Last week one day I heated up a big Hungry-Man chicken dinner.  Ate the whole darn thing and almost exploded.  I won't be doing that again!!

GROANER'S CORNER:((  A brunetts' car gets a flat tire on the Interstate one day so she eases it over onto the shoulder of the road.  She carefully steps out of the car and opens the trunk. She then takes out two cardboard men, unfolds them and stands them at the rear of the vehicle facing oncoming traffic. The lifelike cardboard men are in trench coats exposing their nude bodies to approaching drivers...  Not surprisingly, the traffic became snarled and backed up. It wasn't very long before a police car arrives.  The Officer, clearly enraged, approaches the blonde of the disabled vehicle yelling, "What is going on here?"  "My car broke down, Officer" says the woman, calmly.  "Well, what the hell are these obscene cardboard pictures doing here by the road?!" asks the Officer...  "Helllllooooo, those are my emergency flashers!" she replies.
