AND I APPRECIATE ALL OF YOU FOR DOING THAT

With no particular place to go, Pheebs and I wandered over north of Holmesville to a favorite little spot where a gravely country road cuts between two small ponds/lakes.  I always seem to manage to find a few photos here.  I had worn a long sleeve flannel shirt and a jacket.  With the cool morning air quickly heating up I ditched the jacket and rolled up my sleeves.  No need to fire up the Jeep's A/C just yet though as we headed home with our windows down.  We hit 81F today.

ROLLING OUT OUR DRIVEWAY THIS MORNING I NOTICED OUR REDBUD TREE IN BLOOM
THIS IS ALWAYS A QUIET PLACE TO STOP FOR A FEW PHOTOS
LOOKS LIKE A BIG OLD BULLFROG TO ME

 SHIMMERING REFLECTIONS

I noticed this morning that there still aren't any Mosquitoes in the air but those tiny little gnats are out in full force.  You know those annoying pesty little things that get in your eyes and ears and fly right up your nose to tickle your shorts.  Nasty little buggers those!!
SITTING ON THE BANK OF THE POND
We were back at the house again shortly after 10 and I just kind of ker-fuffled around doing not much of anything.  I did clean the frog pond pump and that was about it.

 IT'S A SWAMPY AREA HERE

My energy levels unexpectantly tanked early Tuesday afternoon and my onboard batteries failed to re-charge today.  However, driving doesn't take much energy for me so Pheebs and I took Scooter for a run around a couple big country blocks.  It was high noon when we headed east along Bayfield River Road, south on Parr Line to Varna then west to Bayfield and home.  I like how Scooter runs along so smooth and quiet.

THINGS HAVE BEEN PRETTY QUIET HERE AT BAYFIELD'S NEW BRIDGE

Clouds rolled in shortly before 1 o'clock, the sun came back an hour later and the day got really muggy, so that was it for me.  Tilted back in my sunroom recliner, turned my fan up a couple notches, opened my Kindle, and read myself all the way to Siestaville twenty minutes later.

AND ANOTHER BUSY DAY FOR AREA FARMERS
Thank you again to all my readers for your continuing support and kind comments, Facebook likes, emails, and shouts in the ShoutBox regarding my posts.  My words many times are not correctly written and my photos often are not technically perfect, but most of you are not quick to criticize and continue to hang in there anyway.  And I appreciate all of you for doing that.

GROANER'S CORNER:((   A few moments after the daughter announced her engagement, her father asked, "Does this fellow have any money?"  The daughter shook her head sadly...  "Oh Daddy! You men are all alike," sighing deeply, she replied, "That's exactly what he asked me about you."

  1. Wonderful photos today. I especially like the pond shots of the lilypads, Reminds me of Monet. The the frogs, who can resist a cute wee frog.

  2. Hey! I think your posts are very well written. And the photos are of the highest quality. Not just being nice here. Anyway, thanks. I don't know why I like frogs so much, but I do. Living in a tiny city now, I don't see them much, so am always glad for a glimpse.

  4. Love your big bullfrog - he's very handsome!! Can't believe you're already in the 80's there. We're enjoying high 50's on the Oregon Coast so that seems so hot :-) What a fun little loader, looks like it's electric? Great shot of the unfurling fern.
