Despite it being the first day of a brand new year it was another rather routine morning from the last few years for Pheebs and I. Wandered up to Goderich in hopes of replenishing my peanut butter but found the whole town closed including Walmart, Zehrs, and Food Basics. Hardly any vehicles on the road. Snow is still piled up on the harbor's Rotary Cove Road so there was no chance of reaching the dog walking area at the far end. We did stop east of Goderich on the way home for a short and cold walk around the Jeep a couple times.

Home again, I spent a little time checking our sheds, carport, and trees for our neighbor's cat which didn't come home New Year's Eve. No sign of it and I did see the neighbors out looking as well. On our short afternoon walk, Pheebs and I checked the trees we passed looking to see if there was a pussy cat up any one of them. There wasn't.
Thanks for the New Year's well-wishes folks. Hopefully, it will be a better year for everyone, unlike the past year with all its stress, drama, and illness for many. With so much at stake in society now it is practically impossible for anyone to make any kind of accurate predictions regarding 2021's future. Just about everything that is anything, seems to be upside down.

Patient:" I'm in a hospital! Why am I in here?"
Doctor: "You've had an accident involving a bus."
Patient: "What happened?"
Doctor: "Well, I've got some good news and some bad news. Which would you like to hear first?"
Patient: "Give me the bad news first."
Doctor: "Your legs were injured so badly that we had to amputate both of them."
Patient: "That's terrible! What's the good news?"
Doctor: "There's a guy in the next ward who made a very good offer on your slippers."
