With the dog days of winter hard upon us now I am sometimes having trouble finding my motivation on these colder mornings. Looking out the window at the falling snow and cold 23F temperature I had no desire to even step out the door but Pheebs was raring to go so it was out the door we did go and hopped into the Jeep. Our drive was basically a repeat of the day before and half an hour later we were home again. Just in time to re-stock the bird feeders. Almost a full-time job in this colder winter weather.

With a snow-blower and road grader clearing roads in the Park making them walkable, Pheebs and I headed off down one of the new roads where a lot of tree cutting and clearing has been going on. It was a refreshing walk on a cold winter's day.  |

Hasn't your park ever sent an explanation to the residents about what's going on? Has anyone asked?
ReplyDeleteNo, management is not communicative with residents so we are always in the dark to what is happening here. Asked questions bring unreliable answers.

ReplyDeleteShoveled most of the day - from last night to tonight about 13 inches of snow and more coming tomorrow. Not too fond of my shovel tonight.
So, did you ever get the recliner fixed? :-) I would think that the boats still in the Bayfield River are subject to damage from flowing ice when it begins to melt and floating chunks bash the sides.
ReplyDeleteI know it's troubling to see things changing around you. The issue is that you appear to live in a beautiful area of Ontario, and the demand for new housing just keeps increasing. I've watched beautiful old farms and forests become subdivisions within just a few years. Like everything else in this world, it's all about money. Stay warm.....

ReplyDeleteIt seems the park owner is selling off trees while trying to expand the park. Sadly that takes away from its beauty and serenity.

ReplyDeleteWhile the first pic is gorgeous, I'm loving the peek around the corner Cardinal on the feeder :-) I can never wrap my head around cold that will freeze that huge body of water! We got a few snowflakes today, very exciting!
