HULLETT-MARSH WALK, AN OUTSIDE PROJECT, AND SATURDAY COMPANY

COULDN'T FIND AN ID FOR THIS MALE DUCK
It wasn't just what we were seeing it was what we were hearing as well on our walk in the Hullett-Marsh this morning.  All around us were the sounds of Peeper and Bull Frogs with some Kermit Frogs mixed in there as well.  Green frogs, Bog frogs, and Freddy Frogs too.  And the trees were alive with the melodious songs of Spring songbirds.  Hard to see the little fellers but we sure could hear them.  No problem hearing or seeing the many Canada Geese though.  A lot of honking going on in the Marsh.
THERE WERE A LOT OF FROGS CROAKING OUT THERE
AND SONGBIRDS ALL AROUND
A LOT OF HONKING CANADA GEESE THIS MORNING AS WELL
THIS SWAMPY AREA WAS ALIVE WITH THE SOUNDS OF NATURE
THERE WAS A VERY LOUD PEEPER FROG OUT THERE BUT I JUST COULDN'T FIND IT
I DON'T KNOW WHO GOOSED WHO BUT IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE GOING THEIR OWN SEPARATE WAYS NOW
Had been looking forward to a sunny warmer morning but it was not to be.  It was a low hanging cloud cover in the damp morning air but no matter, it was just great to be outside surrounded by Mother Nature's splendor.  Clouds slowly began to break up as we were heading back to the Jeep.

NOTICED OUR FIRST PATCH OF BLUE SKY IN THE WATER
LOOK AT THAT NICE FLOWING PATCH OF BLUE SKY IN THE POND
LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT BE THE CARCASS OF AN OLD RHODESIAN WATER BUFFALOW

<<< WE TRIED TO FOLLOW THAT SUNSPLASH UP AHEAD ALL THE WAY HOME
We took the slowpoke scenic roads home relishing every Sun splash we drove through on the way.  By the time we arrived home skies had clouded over again but I had gained enough of the Sun's energy on the way to power me outside and busy myself with a few projects.

It was about high noon when the last of our cloud cover finally dispersed and we were bathed in warm sunlight.  A touch of humidity in the air so I was soon sweating while working on an overall 50' long space where we once parked our RV's over the years.  I have left enough graveled space to still park a 24 or 26 footer and am grassing the rest in as it is highly unlikely we'll ever have another 37'Motorhome.

A RELAXING WAY TO SPEND A SATURDAY MORNING
HAD I BEEN 2 SECONDS FASTER WITH MY CAMERA HERE I WOULD HAVE CAUGHT THIS GIRL AND THE WHITE LLAMA DOING A BIG SMOOCH RIGHT ON THE LIPS....WE HEARD THAT WHITE LLAMA (STEPHANIE) HAS BEEN TRAINED TO DO THAT
Nice enough this afternoon to do a short sleeve afternoon walk without being bothered by any bugs.  A lot of damage has been done in the Park's forest by heavy machines cutting and dragging out pine trees so when I come across slim young maple trees that are bent way over I try to untangle them from surrounding debris and get them standing straight again  No easy task sometimes.
KELLY BROUGHT SOME FLOWERS HOME IN THAT TRAY AND IS ABOUT TO PLANT THEM
SHE PLACED THEM IN OUR FRONT FLOWER BED BY THE ROAD
Kelly's youngest son Ben dropped by with his two boys after spending a great afternoon at a nearby private Lake Huron beach.  They were the only ones there except for a few close friends.  Too cold for swimming yet but they did have themselves a campfire.

GROANER'S CORNER:((    George W. Bush, in an airport lobby, noticed a man in a long, flowing, white robe with a long, flowing, white beard and flowing, white hair. The man had a staff in one hand and some stone tablets under the other arm.  George W. approached the man and inquired, "Aren't you Moses?"  The man ignored George W. and stared at the ceiling.  George W. positioned himself more directly in the man's view and asked again, "Aren't you Moses?"  The man continued to peruse the ceiling.  George W. tugged at the man's sleeve and asked once again, "Aren't you Moses?"  The man finally responded in an irritated voice, "Yes, I am."  George W. asked him why he was so uppity, and Moses replied, "The last time I spoke to a Bush I had to spend forty years in the desert."

  1. So nice to see the Grands I'm sure. I had a Zoom visit with my two youngest grandsons this evening.

  2. What good-looking boys are Darion and Kai. As to the sounds of nature, we hear birds once in a while. We in this house enjoyed the lockdown. It made a huge difference in the traffic noise on the highways and in the air. Silence is under appreciated. I hope you have nice weather Sunday.
