I'm not you. But if I were you, I would be spending an hour and a half of every day in a gym doing a hard workout. Physical fitness has been proven to fix both mood swings and diabetes. Of course the gyms are all closed right now, but that wouldn't stop me from doing a home workout program. I know, everybody is an armchair doctor.
ReplyDeleteI think this armchair doctor should "stay in his own lane".
DeleteMichael hates air conditioning—makes him congested, so he says. Makes it hard to stay in a hotel with him or travel in the car in hot weather. We cope. Sorry to hear about the diabetes Al, I won’t offer any advice other than to say your statements about genetics are totally correct.
ReplyDeleteI think Kevin is spot on. Genetics may have played a part in this but it was lifestyle that was the main culprit.
ReplyDeleteLooking at that no-till planter all folded up, I could only think it must cost more than a new fighter jet. Thanks for the Killdeer pics, they were awesome.
ReplyDeleteI feel like an old car ready for the junkyard too!
ReplyDeleteHI Al, sorry about the news on your health don't give up maybe you can turn it around, my sister is in the same situation she does not take insulin but had to go on a blood sugar lowering medication, it's not an easy disease to control. Your bird up there is a female Red-Winged Blackbird, and a pretty one too!
ReplyDeleteAl, there are several other things you can try to control your diabetes, such as a keto diet or even a low carb diet. Read about Dr. Eric Westman at Duke University and how he controls his patients diabetes. Or Diet Doctor site. There are thousands of low carb/keto recipes online to help control your diabetes. I was diagnosed with type 2 about 5 years ago and have never taken any meds for it. I control it with diet and exercise. Good luck. Ann M
