SLOWLY FEELING MY AGE CATCHING UP TO ME:((

I'M GUESSING THIS LITTLE CHAP AS A TUFTED TITMOUSE AND WE HAD FOUR OF THEM IN OUR YARD TODAY
Felt myself the need for a campfire this morning so after Pheebs and I returned home from our morning wanderings I busied myself with some yard work and got me a fire going.  Think I was just wanting to smell me some nice campfire wood burning.

A BELTED KINGFISHER WINGS OVER OUR PARK'S POND
Our morning Jeep ride again didn't take us too far but we did slip through Bayfield and out the other end following a few familiar country roads home again.  Beautiful sunny morning with big blue skies and temps eventually climbing up into the low 50's.  Even had my sunroom fan going.  And blue jeans today instead of lined winter pants.  Even managed an afternoon walk without my winter jacket on.  Bonus:))
IT WAS A CALM LAKE HURON THIS MORNING GENTLY LAPPING BAYFIELD'S BEACH
NOT SURE WHY THIS FELLOW CHOSE TO WEAR A MASK WHILE OUT FISHING
I DON'T THINK HE HAS ANY 'DISTANCING' TO WORRY ABOUT
BUDS ARE SLOWLY BEGINNING TO EMERGE
SURE ENJOYED THIS MORNING'S BLUE SKY
PHEEBS AND I LIKE TO WALK THAT GRASS STRIP BELOW
Enjoyed puttering around outside doing little bits of this and that and once again felt thankful I have a nice place to be outside.  And thankful of course I am still able to do most of the gardening things I've always done.  Not all of course and I do have to admit I am feeling my age slowly catching up to me from time to time.  I think I am paying a price for being so inactive all winter.  My legs are feeling like mushy stumps at times and I am aware of an overall weakness in my back.  No pain, just a weakening.  I really do need to spend next winter outdoors rock scrambling, traveling, and taking long desert walks again.  Another cold winter sitting in the house staring out the window is something I would rather not have to do again!!

THE FURRY FACE HIGHLAND CATTLE GUYS ARE FENCED OFF SO FAR BACK FROM THE ROAD NOW I HAVE TO USE A LONG TELEPHOTO LENS TO SEE THEM
So far Kelly and I still haven't been too inconvenienced by this Covid 19 thing.  Only place we ever notice it is if we have to go to a store for something.  Not being big socializers we're quite fine with the way things are.  As they say, 'no problem':))

  2. Sounds like things will be lifting, although I'm sure most will wait to see what happens to the few first....

  3. As always.... awesome photos. Thank you. Sheltering in place hadn't affected me much either. This is pretty much my life.

  4. I've only ever seen a Tufted Titmouse once. How did you rate four in one day!?

  5. I know how you feel about staying at home all winter. Hard to just stay home. Hopefully you and Kelly are in good health next winter and do a little traveling. Nice to see spring photos.

  6. I have never seen robin with a dark head like that. Do you have different robins back east?
