==================
I would see lots of potential for water damage, especially around the overhead cab, windows and everywhere else. In that regard, I also would press on the outside walls. Have a younger someone go up on the roof. Examine all things mechanical, engine, jacks. All kitchen stuff, including anything electrical and/or gas, back of refrigerator. Tanks leak? Can you get out a back window? I ask this because, as careful as we were, we had the Norcold fire.
ReplyDeleteAl, that rig not for you....
ReplyDeleteI am loving that photo of the three of you. Pheebs in the front seat is looking great.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you would like this rig as it is to small. Maybe if you took out the dinnette or that couch thing and fit your recliner that might make a difference. She sure is and oldie but if they have all the records then you can figure out how well taken care of it is.
ReplyDeleteNice rig for me but I thinks your standards are higher. I took a long walk today and have not driven since I left Florida.
ReplyDeleteThere have been good points made about the RV, whether it is right for you, only you and Kelly can say. As you know any RV can have it's issues, water leaks would be evident from that window, propane leaks you could smell and you know what else to look for. For small local trips, the size may be just right, certainly more room then the Class B, which I wondered about at the time when you bought it. If they are willing to sell it certified, that would be good and if you really wanted to, I am sure you could get a dealer to go over it, before you bought it. I was reading an article yesterday, giving 8 reason why RVing will be on the rise when this is all over. I understand the heart and head decisions, good luck.
ReplyDeleteAppears to be well looked after but appearances....
ReplyDeleteHave it checked over thoroughly and I agree with concerns about water issues, slightest problem over all those years could cause you both health concerns if there is mold in them there walls.
Al....NO! It's way too old and I see a LOT of potential problems. It's also too small for the two of you. And, is this REALLY the time to buy another RV? the future is so uncertain...I would definitely wait and rethink this.
ReplyDeleteI like it! Nice and bright inside and Kelly could add her personal touches. You certainly know what to look for and will find what is right for you both. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteLove Pheebs antics, reminds me of our little guy.
