Not wanting to arrive at the Maitland Valley Medical Center Dynacare Lab on the early side and end up in a line-up of people waiting to get jabbed for blood samples Pheebs and I took the long and slow scenic route to Goderich this morning.

PHEEBS SPOTTED ANOTHER PUSSY CAT TODAY |
|
CAME ACROSS THESE CURIOUS CRITTERS EARLIER TODAY...KINDA LIKE A DONKEY AND KINDA LIKE A SMALL HORSE...GUESS I'LL CALL THEM A HORSEKEYS |
Rambled through Clinton's Tim Hortons and out around the Hullet Marsh keeping an eye out for any photo opportunities. Another dull overcast day wasn't helping much so I mainly kept my eyes on the ground looking for a few blurbs of color.

NEAR CLINTON I SPOTTED THIS LARGE PIECE OF RAILOAD EQUIPMENT WITH A LONG 'TURKEY CATCHER' ON THE FRONT |
|
BY GOLLY THERE'S THE TURKEYS NOW AND I HAD BETTER RUN DOWN THERE AND TELL THEM TO GET OFF THE TRACKS |
With a few dry days under our belt I've been noticing more and more farmers getting out onto the land these past few days. Maybe too early for planting so soil is being worked up, smoothed out, and made ready for seed planting later. A busy time of the year coming up for our rural folks.
|
I'M WONDERING IF MAYBE THAT'S A SEED PLANTER ON BACK OF THE TRACTOR |
|
NOT SURE WHAT THIS FELLA HAS ON THE FRONT OF HIS TRACTOR...COULD BE SOME STUFF LEFT OVER FROM LAST YEARS MARIUANA CROP |
|
BARN CONSTRUCTION UNDER WAY AND NOTICE THE DIFFERING OF ATTIRE ON THESE FELLAS...THE GUY ON THE LEFT IS DRESSED FOR SUMMER AND THE GUY ON THE RIGHT IS STILL WINTERIZED |
|
OKAY SO IF IT'S NOT A CLASS A, C, B OR B+... WHAT IS IT?? |
|
I THINK THIS TRUCKER HAD TOO MUCH WEIGHT ON HIS REAR AXLE |

I THINK THIS BUMPY STRETCH OF COUNTRY ROAD IS NEEDING A ROAD GRADER |
It was shortly after ten when we rolled into the north end of Goderich and headed for the Dynacare Lab. Pleased to see there was no line-up outside and if there had been I would have kept on going. One person waiting in the vestibule so I stood outside the building until the vestibule person was taken inside. I in turn took her place and awaited my turn finally being brought inside and having my blood drawn by one of two masked medical people. This blood sample is for a PSA test regarding my Prostate Cancer. I will meet with Dr. Bukala my Urologist on May 5th for the results and we'll see if that number has come up from my last test which was .45 about three months ago. Before my radiation treatments my PSA number was 15.4.

WAITING OUTSIDE THE DYNACARE LAB |

WAITING QUIETLY TO GET JABBED IN THE ARM |
Pheebs and I were home shortly after 11 but with cold air still upon us I wasn't inspired to head outside and resume any yard projects. Looking ahead at the 14 day weather forecast I do not see any warm short sleeve shirt weather and it's less than a week to the month of May.
And thanks again to all you blog readers out there for simply being caring blog readers:))

ON OUR PARK'S POND THIS AFTERNOON |
GROANER'S CORNER:(( You might be a Reneck if...
- You can chew your own toenails.
- You've ever used an inner-tube patch on your jeans.
- You want the opening day of deer hunting season to be declared a national holiday.
- Someone knocks on your front door and your back door rattles.
- You let goldenrod grow in your yard because it looks so pretty.
- You've ever absent-mindedly nibbled on your live bait . . . and didn't spit it out.
- Your best Sunday clothes include your John Deere baseball cap.
- You go to a wedding or any formal party and ask someone to pull your finger.
- Your mama has more tattoos than you do.

My wife is really mad at the fact that I have no sense of direction. So I packed up my stuff and right.-------------------------

Yet another great photo of Pheebs looking at a CAT. I keep saying to myself, not another dog, not another dog.....can't have another dog. and then I see Pheebs. She's a great dog. And your photo series today is good all round.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Enjoyed the trip. Thanks Al. Did the PSA thing back in January. Didn't get a number back, just a phone call saying it was "normal", whatever the heck that means. Had to cough up some dough for that one, as I'm not "old enough" just yet. Let's think, "My money or my life?". Right.
ReplyDeleteNice day out on the town. Great pics yet again, amazing how you find such beauty in the everyday.
ReplyDeleteWith the warmer weather arriving, I expect you'll see a lot more farmers out on the fields soon.
ReplyDeleteI loved all of this--the fantastic pictures, the commentary, all!
