EVEN WHILE SNOOZING PHEEBS HAS AN OCCASIONAL PEEK TO MAKE SURE I HAVEN'T SLIPPED OUT THE DOOR ON HER |
An overcast dull and drabbly damp cold day. Pheebs and I drove over to the Hullett Marsh where I could hear Tundra Swans somewhere in the distance. They make a weebling sound much like Sand Hill Cranes. Finally spotted them far off and clicked a photo.

TUNDRA SWANS AT THE HULLETT MARSH |

AND OF COURSE CANADA GEESE ARE EVERYWHERE |

THE FURRY FACE GUYS WERE OUT TODAY |

NO NOT THE FURRY FACERS BUT A TOTALLY DIFFERENT HERD |

OH JUDY LOOK AT ALL THESE 'END' SHOTS YOU ARE MISSING |
Home before 10 I hitched up our utility trailer and took two loads of heavy wet leaves and pine needles to the Park's recycling area. Good thing I had four wheel drive again or I would have had myself mired in the mud and muck down there. Despite the crappy day Pheebs and I did get out for an afternoon walk and managed a few more photos.

I STILL HAVE A COUPLE MORE HEAVY LOADS TO HAUL DOWN HERE

SPRING FLOWERS?? NOPE, PLASTIC ONES IN OUR SUNROOM |
Twelve years ago today we arrived home from the Southwest and one year ago tomorrow we also arrived home from the Southwest. With all the major uncertainties going on right now if we had been in the States this year we would most certainly have made a fast beeline for the border by now. Bizarre things are happening and I'm thankful we are right here at home in case the already bizarre turns into the super bizarre. Personally, I would not be traveling anywhere for any reason until all this hopefully clears up. My simple advice to fellow Canadian RV'ers away from home right now would be to 'get yourself back across the border and home real quick'!!

SO NICE TO SEE CHIPMUNKS SCAMPERING AROUND OUR YARD AGAIN |
GROANER'S CORNER:(( “I didn't use to care much for most puns but over time some of them have groan on me.”

Hubby - You always carry my photo in your handbag to the office. Why?
Wife - When there is a problem, no matter how impossible, I look at your picture and the problem disappears.
Hubby - You see, how miraculous and powerful I am for you?
Wife - Yes, I see your picture and say to myself, "What other problem can there be greater than this one?"
==================
You're probably right Al. They may get stuck here for 30 days :)) Glad you finally get to do some spring cleaning.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the photos, especially "one eye" Miss Pheebs and the cows.
ReplyDeleteGood advice to your fellow Canadian RVer's. Best to get across the border and hunker down until things settle down. Personally, I am not out and about as I normally would be as I have a compromised immune system and am over 70.
Good advice and my sentiment. Love those little chipmunks and think they are the cutest.
ReplyDeleteGood morning. Still no blog posts in email. Came to see if you're still here and you are. Bizarre is right. Wishing everyone peace and health. K~
ReplyDeleteLove your hats off to Judy. It made me smile.
ReplyDelete"Getting home real quick" was the reason why we decided to haul our trailer across the border yesterday. While crossing through the local CBP Checkpoint I interviewed the friendly officer about what might be happening with the border in case we get some more corona cases in our province. He said he could not imagine the border being closed, but that it certainly wouldn't be a local decision. About the same answer was given by Canada customs officers. The problem here is the mercurial president of the US.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, Peter. We really don't have the facts to deal with this.
DeleteYes, Al, if I were Canadian, I would HEAD FOR THE BORDER and get home! Too much chaos, lying, and uncertainty here! Hubby and I are trying to stay at home as much as we can, but I did have to go out for our tax preparation appointment yesterday and I did stop at 2 stores. Shelves are getting empty as people are panic buying. And we have NO leadership from our genius-in-chief.
ReplyDeleteGenius in chief says not to worry,it will pass and we have Mike Pence for spiritual guidance. Also, this is all just a Democratic Hoax.
ReplyDeleteI wrote the same advise several days ago on my blog Al. At that time I was sure Trump would be shutting his borders and he kind of has but today Trudeau is talking about it being an option he is considering so it is sage advise to get home fast before RVers get stuck across and their insurance (if they bought it) runs out.
