WITH A FOOT OF NEW SNOW OVERNIGHT IT'S ANOTHER WINTER WONDERLAND DAY

For the second night in a row we have had a significant dump of snow and woke up this morning to over a foot of the stuff on the ground.  First thing I did was shovel a path to the bird feeder then another path to the carport.  Remembering our Jeep is four wheel drive I wasn't worried about getting out the driveway even with summer tires on.  The Jeep tracked through the snow like it wasn't even there.  Thursday I had grumbled about the Jeep's tires slipping in the snow totally forgetting about the four wheel drive factor.  Just goes to show you where my memories at these days.

EVEN PHEEBS WAS PLOWING SNOW TODAY
Another snowy winter wonderland morning with the difference being today we had sunshine.  Pheebs and I wandered through Bayfield then out around a few country roads.  For the second day in a row I am again going to have to put today's photos in an album but I have run out of time to do it tonight so I will put the link for today's album in Saturday's post.  Tonight's photos are a sampling of today's pics.
A WHOLE SMASH OF CROWS
Home again I continued with my snow shoveling.  First the driveway and second a pathway to our sheds and burning barrel.  With this amount of snow on the ground already there is a chance it could stay all winter unless Saturday and Sunday's predicted rain and 40F temperatures knock the stuffing's out of it.  Looking at the fourteen day forecast a few minutes ago I see we also have a good chance of it all melting next week too.  There is still a lot of corn standing in the fields so I bet the farmer's are hoping for milder temps as well.  I'm guessing we've had more snow in two days than they had all winter around here last year.
LOOKS LIKE BLOWING SNOW AHEAD BUT IT'S NOT......IT'S FOG
It is very rare for Kelly and I to eat out unless we're traveling at which times we do like stopping at our Cracker Barrels.  Today we slipped up to Goderich for a Smorgasbord at Pat and Kevin's On The Square.  Been years since I've been to a Borgasmord and it will probably be years before I go to another one.  I am not a big eater at all anymore and today was no exception.  Not eating much of the main course I did feel an obligation to demolish the dessert section.  Almost took five waiters and a passing bystander to hold me back.  It was a lady in a wheelchair who finally stopped me from reaching the dessert table for the seventh time.

AND HOLY SMOKES TWO GUYS WORKING ON THE TIM HORTONS BUILDING....RUMOR HAS IT THEY WILL BE OPEN IN APRIL........YA RIGHT, 2025 MAYBE!!
With my bladder back to near normal I quit taking the bladder spasm pills a week ago and am only having to get up once in the night again.  I hope to find out next week if last months radiation treatments have had any affect on my prostate cancer.

Noticing a lot more birds around the bird station now that the ground is under a foot of snow and I see the Juncos are back from their summer home in the Arctic.  Blue Jays and Black Cap Chickadees are in abundance as well.  So nice to see all the activity again.  By two this afternoon it was snowing heavily once more so I'll have to make sure to keep the path to the bird feeders open.  Could be a challenge this winter.

YEP THAT'S OUR PLACE THIS MORNING
GROANER'S CORNER:(( The husband says to his wife, "You always carry my photo in your handbag to the office. Why?" She says, "When there is a problem, no matter how impossible, I look at your picture and the problem disappears."  He smirks and replies, "You see, how miraculous and powerful I am for you?" She calmly replies, "Yes, I see your picture and say to myself, 'What other problem can there be greater than this one?'

A father was trying to teach his young son the evils of alcohol.  He put one worm in a glass of water and another worm in a glass of whiskey. The worm in the water lived, while the one in the whiskey curled up and died.  "All right, son," asked the father, "what does that show you?"  "Well, Dad, it shows that if you drink alcohol, you will not have worms."

  2. Beautiful photos. I'll be watching to see what 40° does to a foot of snow. That picture of Pheebs running through the snow at you is fantastic. Thanks for taking the time to post all those photos.
