SECOND RADIATION TREATMENT BEHIND ME BUT A PREVIOUS PROBLEM HAS RETURNED:((

OUR FRONT YARD JUNGLE??  NOPE JUST A SUMAC TREE NEAR THE PARK'S POND
About as poor a night's sleep as I've ever had.  The mind worries about not getting up in time so keeps itself half awake checking the clock about 300 times an hour.  Needless to say I was on my feet by 5 a.m. and into the shower.  My day had officially started 2 hours before that.  Wanting to be at London's Victoria Hospital cancer clinic on the early side I left home at 6 a.m.  Pitch black out but that was Okay I don't mind driving in the dark.
LOOKING WEST UP OUR STREET THIS AFTERNOON
Light traffic all the way but a bit heavier in London and certainly nothing to complain about.  Decided to count the traffic lights between our house and Victoria hospital.  There are 24 with 22 of them being within London's city limits.  Arrived at the hospital at 7:20 with the big advantage being lots of parking spots that early in the morning.  I was one hour early for my appointment.  Checked in, drank my required 400ml of water (one small water bottle) made myself comfortable in the central waiting room and read my Kindle till 8:10 whereupon I relocated to the radiation department's small waiting room.  Different area this time and my name was called right on time at 8:25.  Different machine and 2 different technicians.  Instead of the overhead view being May apple blossoms this room's light box showed Lilacs.  Nothing new I can tell you about the treatment as the machine whirred and rotated around me for about 10 minutes.  Instead of watching every thing this time I closed my eyes and slipped into a light state of semi-doze.  Something bumped my leg and it was the attendant saying the treatment was over and I was free to go so go I did went.  First stop was the Cancer Clinics Tim Horton coffee shop just a few steps away.  A coffee and muffin to go please.  It was my first coffee of the day and first thing to eat.  Traffic again was easy heading north up Adelaide Street.  Thought to myself how lucky I was not having to deal with the traffic chaos of Toronto, Montreal, or any other large city.  Less than twenty minutes from leaving the hospital I was once again out into the beautiful early morning countryside and with a different pre-planned route today I stayed in the countryside all the way home.  I like when that happens.

Arrived home at 10:15 and headed straightaway for my living room recliner.  Very tired and not feeling the best which I attributed to my poor night's sleep.  My constant running to the washroom has been back the last couple days and that may be one of the radiation side effects.  My next treatment is Wednesday afternoon and following the treatment I have a scheduled meeting with Doctor Mendez my Oncologist.  I will ask him at that time about my urinary problem going away for 5 days then resuming after my first radiation treatment.  And it's a bit worse today after my second treatment.  Hope one of those radiation beams didn't bounce off my prostate then ricochete off a lower rib and rebound down through my bladder or bladder tube.  Yikes!!  No interest in food tonight except I fixed myself up a bowl of porridge and that worked for me.  Oft times if I'm not feeling well porridge is my magic elixir.  Anyway, other than that there isn't much new.
A SHAFT OF EVENING SUNLIGHT SLIPS THROUGH OUR TALL PINE TREES AND ALIGHTS SOFTLY ON ONE OF OUR AZALEA PLANTS
Did manage a short walk this afternoon with Pheebs and scratched up a few photos.  Maybe the little Spoogers and I can find a few more pics in the morning.  Over and Out...……. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz:
PHEEBS PLAYFULLY RUNNING IN THE GRASS
GROANER'S CORNER:((   Two men are hiking through the woods when one of them cries out, “Snake! Run!”  His companion laughs at him. “Oh, relax. It’s only a baby,” he says. “Don’t you hear the rattle?”

“Moby Dick didn't have a funeral but he did have a huge wake.”

A tom cat and a tabby cat were courting on a back fence at night.  The tom leaned over to the tabby with pent up passion and purred... "I'll die for you".  The tabby gazed at him from under lowered eye lids and asked, "How many times?".

  6. Sorry you are feeling bad again, getting up multi times through the night takes a toll on you. I a about agree with Contessa about restricting fluids.

  7. I drink a lot of water during the day (it's very dry in California) and i'm up every 2 hours. Fortunately I seem to be able to go right back to sleep, but it is still a break in my sleep. How many treatments will you have to go through?
