GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man was walking home alone late one night when he hears a BUMP... BUMP... BUMP... behind him. Walking faster he looks back, and makes out the image of an upright coffin banging its way down the middle of the street towards him. BUMP... BUMP... BUMP... Terrified, the man begins to run towards his home, the coffin bouncing quickly behind him ... faster... faster... BUMP... BUMP... BUMP... He runs up to his door, fumbles with his keys, opens the door, rushes in, slams and locks the door behind him. However, the coffin crashes through his door, with the lid of the coffin clapping... clappity-BUMP... clappity-BUMP... clappity-BUMP... on the heels of the terrified man. Rushing upstairs to the bathroom, the man locks himself in. His heart is pounding; his head is reeling; his breath is coming in sobbing gasps. With a loud CRASH the coffin starts breaking down the door. Bumping and clapping towards him. The man SCREAMS and reaches for something heavy, anything .. his hand comes to rest on a large bottle of Robitussin. Desperate, he throws the cough syrup as hard as he can at the apparition... and... the coffin stops!!

Know what you mean about finding something that's not the Same Old Same Old and we've only got 2801 Posts behind us. Besides we can say a silent prayer for those we know.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy Pheebs getting her treats.
It's about time.
May all your days be this uneventful. Any day you can dress yourself, eat and get out the door is an happy event. I know you will see something that makes an interesting picture. If not, Pheebs and Kelly and yourself make interesting photos. Got to love the randomness of peeling paint on the sheep's gate. Pheebs really looks excited for her treat. I journal and photograph daily activities and thoughts also. We share that in common. That is why I like reading your blog. The other day I was studying drawing the human body. I liked that photo you took of Kelly looking at her journal in the hospital. It was fun to try to draw her. Your life is reflected in my life! I like that.
ReplyDeleteLove those uneventful days.
ReplyDeleteNot the same old, same old, because you always post interesting photos...well done! Thanks. Keep at it.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't that be post 4103? really doesn't matter I love everyone, keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteAs always I am looking forward to the next post no matter the content.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny how the dogs always remember where their treats are given to them.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of Pheebs.
ReplyDeleteYep not every day can be super exciting. We do need some mellow calm ones to know how to enjoy the great ones.
ReplyDeleteI plan to restart my dull blog next December as that will be a year after I shut down. I see a need to start again as I have trouble remembering what I was doing a year ago and I lost my interest in photos since I quit and it was a big hobby for me. Short breaks are OK as life is not always 'edge of the seat exciting'. Hopefully you will still enjoy what Zippy has been up to.
You do an excellent job of meeting the challenge of daily posting! The ups and downs, the doldrums at times. That is how life is, and, because your posts reflect life, they make us think of you as family. Few people know me for very long without hearing about The Bayfield Bunch. If they are lucky, I even show them photos. Those typing fingers of yours are like a pebble in a pond. The waves reach all the way from Ontario to Texas. Please feel treasured. Fingers crossed re the health issues.
ReplyDeleteAlways something to write about just to keep track of the days even for ourselves, I am running behind you at 3558 postings. Keep up the good work. Even a short posting is better than none.
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed the great fotos of the birds you took in your backyard. I bet there are many interesting critters around your yard just waiting for you to capture them in your camera. Pictures speak a thousand words..
