WHAT'S BETTER THAN A MORNING JEEP RIDE? HOW'S ABOUT TWO MORE JEEP RIDES IN THE AFTERNOON:))

I don't know when the farm next to our Park got the Rooster but I love opening the patio door next to my recliner in the morning and hearing that Rooster crowing.  Reminds me so much of our house in Congress Arizona a few years ago when I would step out into the early morning dawn with Pheebs and hear Roosters on both sides of us.  I always thought of it as 'Roosters In Stereo'.  There is just something special about hearing the crowing of a Rooster in the early morning hour.  With a light cloud cover and no wind there was once again a calmness over the land.  Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
I think it wasn't even 8 a.m. when Pheebs and I headed out on what would turn out to be the first of three Jeep rides today.  Again it was one of our favorite stand-by routes southeast of Bayfield and as usual we managed a few photos along the way.  Back well before 10 we just kinda hung around the house.
IN MY SIDE VIEW MIRROR I CAUGHT THE TAIL END OF THIS BIG MOSSMAGATOR MACHINE
SPOTTED THESE WHITE AND BLUE IRIS FLOWERS GROWING WILD ALONGSIDE A FARMER'S FIELD
DESPITE SWATTING MOSQUITOS WE DID GET OURSELVES A WALK IN
Well hanging around the house doesn't always work for me so after failing to drum up any interest in doing some deck painting I loaded up the Spooger Buns again shortly after noon and we were once again dusting up Libby's tires on some more of Wednesday's back roads.  I might have not gone out a second time but I know Pheebs was bored at not having Kelly here to hang out with in the kitchen.  Pheebs was sure happy when I told her we were going out for another Jeep ride.  This time we wandered around northeast of Bayfield.  We were back somewhere around 2.

NOW HERE'S A CURIOSITY.......WHAT ARE THOSE THINGS ON THAT POST????
WELL, THEY ARE WOODEN DUTCH SHOES OF COURSE

THIS WAS ATTACHED TO THE POST
FOR LOCAL FOLKS THE DUTCH WOODEN SHOE POST CAN BE SEEN AT THIS INTERSECTION BETWEEN CLINTON AND GODERICH CLOSE TO HIGHWAY 8 BUT NOT ON IT
First thing I generally do when stepping in the door is check the answering machine for a flashing red light and this afternoon we had one.  ContinuIT had left a message about our computer saying it might be time to upgrade.  Well I was hoping not to have to do that because other than the memory problem our Lenova computer was working fine.  Back into the Jeep Pheebs and I went and headed for Goderich.
Nice lady receptionist (who actually babysat Pheebs one time for a week before we ever met Pheebs) at the counter was able to help me out. They had our computer set up and running with the 'Pictures' file accessible again.  Bonus:)) It was decided I should take the computer home and see if I could re-gain some of the maxed out memory by transferring photos onto my external hard drive which is what I was attempting to do when I ran into the problem.  I have three external hard drives packed with terabytes upon terabytes of photos going back many years.  Back home I re-hooked up the computer and everything worked fine but I haven't tried moving any photo files yet.  Perhaps I will start that in the morning when I'm not so tired and generally have a few more wits about me as opposed to later in the day.
I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE HOOK UPS AT THE BACK OF THE COMPUTER SO I WOULDN'T FORGET WHAT PLUG GOES WHERE WHEN I HAD TO HOOK IT UP AGAIN
MY LAPTOP IS TEMPORARILY SITTING ON OUR DESKTOP COMPUTER WITH THE HOOK-UP PHOTO ON IT'S SCREEN
By Tuesday I could tell Pheebs was tiring of my microwave cooking so I took the little darling out for supper.  Had been over a year since the last time we had a six inch Tuna Sub so it was off to Bayfield's Subway Shop.  I've been a little miffed at Subway ever since they jacked their prices up way back when.  Used to be able to get a Tuna sub for around $5 but now they are close to $7.  And no I am not a Scrooge!!
Kelly's Mother got a brand spanking new fridge a couple days ago and I guess they had a bit of a time getting it in.  Kelly sent a few more Blackberry photos today.
KELLY AND LITTLE ELLA IN SPENCERPORT NY A FEW DAYS AGO
GROANER'S CORNER:((  One afternoon while doing some work in the garden I noticed my dog dragging something under the fence. Upon inspection, to my dismay, I realized it was the next door neighbour's daughter's rabbit. For years I had watch her come home from school and head straight out to its cage, free it and play with it in the garden. I knew today would be no different and fearing for our dog, I had to think fast. The rabbit was quite dirty, as if it had put up quite a struggle, so I washed it off with the hose, combed it with the dog brush and blew it dry with the leaf blower. Upon finishing its grooming, I jumped the fence and replaced it back in its cage hoping its death would be written off as "natural causes". Within the hour, the neighbour's car pulled in and out popped the little girl, and as usual she headed straight for the cage. Only this time she stopped about six feet away and screamed "DDDDDAAAADDDDYYYY!!!" Her father, panic stricken, stood looking at the cage. Being the good neighbour that I am, I rushed to fence and asked if there was anything I could do. Her father less than calmly blurted, "What kind of sick individual would dig up a little girl's dead rabbit and put it back in it's cage?"

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this: You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery," and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

  1. Oh oh! I would like to get a new one, but our cabinets were built to exactly fit this 17 year old Maytag. What are the chances we can find a new one with the same dimensions?

  4. Putting the pictures on you back drive saves space as you know. I do recall that you have not had that computer for very long.

  5. All the farm equipment looks brand new - and it's all so clean!! Always fascinating to me to see what machinery does what job. The wooden shoes are certainly different! Love all the colors.
