NOT SURE WHAT KIND OF BIRD THIS IS |
NOT EVEN AN AWNING OR HITCH ON THIS BASIC CLASS C RV |
NOPE NOT FOR US |
CAME THROUGH THE WEST SIDE OF AMISH/MENNONITE COUNTRY ON OUR WAY HOME |
THIS ROBIN SIZED BIRD HAD A TENDENCY TO STICK IT'S TAIL FEATHERS UP AND FLARE IT'S WINGS |
GROANER'S CORNER:(( You are driving in a car at a constant speed. On your left side is a valley and on your right side is a fire engine traveling at the same speed as you. In front of you is a galloping pig which is the same size as your car and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a helicopter flying at ground level. Both the giant pig and the helicopter are also traveling at the same speed as you. What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation? Don't ride the kiddie merry go round when you are drunk, so get off!!

Mockingbird
ReplyDeleteThe "robin looking" bird is a Mocking Bird. Some people refer to them as "Catbirds" as they will torment and tease a cat. It's not easy to find an RV suitable after moving down from a nice Class A. However, our fifth wheel Solitude 41' suits us just fine. And our Ram 3500 Cummins dually with air bags suits just fine as well.
ReplyDeleteExactly what I thought when I saw the bird! Mockingbird. State bird of Texas. The upright tail is a give-away. There don't seem to be nearly as many around lately. Maybe global warming is sending them north? I wondered how you could be sure there was only one red squirrel! I don't think you will ever find a Class C that will fit your recliner. Hope I am wrong!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with finding the right coach, we looked for years before we found our right one, and havstill not found one better in the last 13 years. But keep on looking there is always hope.
ReplyDeleteHello Al,
ReplyDeleteWe were driving through Five Seasons and love the place! We met with Ken Hughes to get some info on a lot. How do you folks like living there? Ken seems like quite a character?
Dennis and Wendy Joy
Such a pretty bird!! Hardly seems fair that you are up against two crafty critters in your feeder competition :-))) I wonder if they're keeping score too.
ReplyDeleteThat's a mockingbird. We have them here in our desert and the males are singing at night, looking for mates. We have always had families of them in our neighborhood. Yes, they "flex" their wings. They also chase off the ravens in this area.
