KELLY'S HOME.....'YAY TEAM'

For me I don't think it would have been possible to have a nicer weather day.  I thought Saturday's weather was great but today was even better.  Lots of sunshine and enjoyable morning temperatures in the mid 60's reaching 70 in the afternoon.  Only thing better than our superb weather was the fact Kelly came home today.
CANADA GEESE ON THE TRANQUIL WATERS OF LAKE HURON THIS MORNING
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE FISHING AND TUG BOAT PIER PARTIALLY AWASH WITH HIGH LAKE WATERS

NORMALLY ONE WOULD STEP UP FROM THE BOAT DECK ONTO THE PIER BUT WITH HIGHER WATERS NOW ONE STEPS FROM THE BOAT DECK DOWN ONTO THE PIER AND ONE HAD BETTER BE WEARING RUBBER BOOTS WHEN ONE DOES
SEAGULLS AND GEESE SEEM TO LIKE THESE SHALLOW PIER TOP WATERS
POWER CABLES RISING UP OUT OF THE WATER
It was a routine Jeep ride to Goderich for Pheebs and I.  Coffee to go at McDonalds, my usual photos down around the harbor area, and a few groceries picked up on our return home.  There was a chance Kelly might be home earlier than usual so I wanted to make sure Pheebs and I were home when she got there.
I TOOK THIS PHOTO A COUPLE WEEKS AGO WHEN THE PIER WAS STILL ABOVE WATER
Thinking about it this morning I think these past two weeks have been the longest Kelly and I have been apart since first meeting back in the summer of 1993.  I have never spent more time with one person in my entire life than I have with Kelly and for that I think she rightly deserves some kind of special commendation for her patience, caring, fortitude, determination, and understanding.  Well after all, she successfully raised five children.....and then I came along.  'Oh Dear'.
LIKED THE COLOR OF THIS ROADTREK VAN I SAW AND FOR ONE PERSON I THINK THIS WOULD BE IDEAL FOR TRAVELING.....NO IT WASN'T FOR SALE, I SAW IT PARKED AT THE BEACH IN GODERICH
A CLOSER LOOK AT A COUPLE LOCAL FISHING BOATS THIS MORNING

LOVE THESE CLEAR LAKE HURON WATERS
It was 12:53 while Pheebs and I were out in the front yard that we saw a familiar white Pontiac Sunfire roll up to the head of the driveway.  I shouted to Pheebs 'Mom's home' and she took off like a rocket to help Mom back in.  Lots of hugs and snuggles and Pheebs even got a doggy treat.  Kelly said it was a good drive home and being a Sunday morning traffic was much lighter than a week day.
HEY I RECOGNIZE THAT CAR:)))))
'YAAAAAY MOM'S HOME'
With a carload of stuff we worked away at carrying things in.  There was even an apple fritter treat for me.  With things squared away we tilted back in our recliners and caught up on things from the past two weeks.  Glad to have Kelly home and the Bayfield Bunch together once more.  We are like a tri-pod here and at our strongest when all three of the tri-pod legs (Kelly, Pheebs, and I) are again steadily together again.
WELL WHAT WOULD  MY POST BE WITHOUT A FEW GOOD OLD COW PICTURES EH

So how did Pheebs and I do these past couple weeks all by ourselves.  Did we fall apart??  Did we mope around all sad and blue??  The answer to both those questions is no of course but then again I've always done well over the years whenever I've found myself in temporary situations of living by myself.  Now the key word there is 'temporary' and at any one of those times had I thought my situation would remain with me being on my own forever I might have felt much differently about things.  Knowing your partner is gone forever could be devastating but knowing your partner is returning shortly can have the absolute opposite feeling.  At least that's how it works for me.
A FEW NEWLY PLANTED AMISH/MENNONITE GARDENS FROM LAST WEEK
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A young man watched as an elderly couple sat down to lunch at McDonald's. He noticed that they had ordered just one meal, and an extra drink cup. As he watched, the old gentleman carefully divided the hamburger in half, then counted out the fries, one for him, one for her, etc, until each had exactly half.  Then the old man poured half of the soft drink into the extra cup and set that in front of his wife. The old man then began to eat, but his wife just sat watching him.  The young man felt sorry for them and asked "I'm sorry to intrude, but would you allow me to purchase another meal for your wife so that you don't have to split your food?"The old gentleman said, "Oh, no, thank you. But you see, we've been married a long time, and everything has always been shared, 50/50."The young man said, "Wow! That's commendable." He then turned to the wife and asked, "Aren't you going to eat your share?"The wife replied "Not yet. It's his turn to use the teeth."

A man walked up to the counter of an auto-part store. "Excuse me," he said, "I'd like to get a new gas cap for my Yugo.""Sure," the clerk replied. "Sounds like a fair exchange to me."

You are right about feeling different if your partner wasn't coming back. We both visit them once in a while.

  4. I’m so glad Kelly is home safe and sound. You’re right Al. Knowing my Joe was gone forever was devastating but I’m slowly adjusting to the new norm of living life as one instead of a couple.
I love your pictures especially the cow pictures.
