EXETER A&W FOR BREAKFAST, DOGGIE GETS A NEW TOY, AND THE SQUIRREL WARS CONTINUE!!

DAFFODILS BESIDE THE HOUSE

It is pretty much standard fair around here now that whenever all three of us pile into the Jeep to go somewhere it is Pheebs who gets the front passenger seat while Kelly sits in the back.  If Kelly gets in the front seat Pheebs pesters her until she trades places so to save those two from scrapping over the seat Kelly simply rides in the back which is fine with her because she has more room.  I'm sure people must wonder when they see us go by with a doggy sitting up quite proudly in the front seat while there's Kelly frumpled up in the back seat.  

PHEEBS GOT A NEW SQUEAKER TOY TODAY

It was off to Exeter with the three of us this morning with a stop in Zurich to pick us some 'itchy ear' medicine for Pheebs.  Pet Value in Exeter was our next stop then over to A&W for breakfast with a couple coupons we had.  A&W always puts up a great brekky.

On the way home we stopped for a leg stretch northwest of Exeter where I took off my winter jacket.  Temps were coming up but upon arriving home twenty minutes later I had to slip that winter jacket back on again.  We often forget how this time of year temperatures are often much colder than just a few miles inland and it all has to do with our location right beside the winter's big cold body of water Lake Huron.  It is the only slight downside of living where we do within a mile or two of the lake.

Skies brightened by late morning and we spent much of our afternoon under sultry sunny skies.  Managed to get a start on some window cleaning, cleaned the frog pond pump and noticed we seem to be missing one Goldfish.  Hmmmmmm

Noticing a few more birds around our feeders and especially this afternoon when temps came up a bit and late afternoon sunlight filtered through the pines.  Still have a real battle going on here with the little Red Squirrel getting up on the bird station feeder.  Back and forth we went again today with me making corrections and adding more defence measures and that Squirrel foiling my every attempt.  I think the score right now Saturday night must be about 56 to 55 and I'm not sure who's got the 56 me or the Squirrel!!!!  I am determined to win this war but it doesn't matter much because so are the damn Squirrels.
