It was under heavy overcast skies we all piled into the Jeep this morning and made our south through Grand Bend to Parkhill Ontario. Motorhome exhaust repairs were done and it was time to pick it up. No chance of rain and we were soon on our way home with Pheebs and I out front in the Motorhome followed by Kelly in the Jeep. Oh my, how much quietter and smoother the rig runs now. Here's what they did.....In addition to resealing the passenger sides rear axle shaft they removed the right side exhaust system, welded up the cracks and re-installed the exhaust. Straightened the hangers, replaced the right side tailpipe, removed the left side exhaust and replaced the exhaust gaskets. They said the exhaust system had come unattached from the manifold at the engine and I lay most of that blame squarely on the bad rutted and pot holed roads we often encounter on our southwest travels. Our bill today was $852.24. Labor totalled $552.50 with parts being $201.96. The remainder of the bill was eaten up by $98.08 in taxes. This was our first time at Parkhill's South End Tirecraft Truck Center and we both agreed we would use their services again. Found the staff friendly and personable and we give South End two thumbs:)).

HEADING HOME THROUGH GRAND BEND ONTARIO
Sunny breaks began appearing around noon so it was out the door with myself and resumed my Spring clean-up projects. Despite icy cold North winds it was great to feel Old Sol's warming rays. Pheebs and did make it for a short walk around the Park's pond. With the cloud cover back in place it was too cold and windy to go any farther.
ON OUR SHORT AFTERNOON WALK WE SPOTTED THIS MUSKRAT IN THE PARK'S POND
It's been a difficult traveling winter for our good friend and fellow RV Blogger Ivan and his feline traveling companion Hailey. Ivan, from Alberta, like us prefers to spend his winters in the American Southwest and if his truck and fifth wheel problems weren't enough this past 6 months, Hailey became very ill. Not giving up on his best Pal Ivan saw Hailey through all her medical endurances and despite the loss of one of her legs he continues to stick by her side. It has been difficult for many of us to keep up with Ivan's blog because of long term problems he has encountered with the Blogger format. His posts have not been correctly updating on my sidebar for a long time and readers have been missing them. You might be able to find Ivan and Hailey here at Roadtrip 2019 and for sure you can find him here on Facebook at Ivan Phillips. Not sure where Ivan and Hailey are right now but I think they might be somewhere between California and Alberta. After a really tough winter for them both they are headed home and if you click on his previous posts you will understand why I am sure they will be very happy to get there.
HERE'S IVAN GIVING HAILEY A LESSON ON HOW TO FLY A DRONE
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man walks into a doctor's office. He has a cucumber up his nose, a carrot in his left ear and a banana in his right ear. "What's the matter with me?" he asks the doctor. The doctor replies, "You're not eating properly."

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you have the motor home all fixed and back home. Nice to have a navigator in the passengers seat I'm sure, she looks comfy there. Soon the sun will be making things very warm and we will all be looking for a cool spot in the shade.
