OUR DAY DIDN'T GO AS PLANNED

SOMEWHERE ALONG THE COLORADO RIVER BETWEEN PARKER AND LAKE HAVASU ARIZONA

A quiet restful night in Parker Arizona.  Nice morning walk in warmer air.  Our plans were to roll up though Lake Havasu and hopefully find us a nice boondocking spot north of town for a few days.  That didn't work out.  Checked out two spots and didn't like either one of them.  Rough roads, uneven spots and too many people for us.  Headed further north looking for another spot but no luck.  Discouraging.

EASTBOUND ON I-40

It was the second time we did this drive between Parker and Lake Havasu and I must say that it is one of the prettiest drives as the highway follows the Colorado River.  Lots of green vegetation and great rock formations along the way making it a beautiful area.  A lot of people though.

ALTHOUGH THIS MIGHT LOOK LIKE AN OKAY BOONDOCKING SITE, IT WASN'T

With our boondocking plans down the drain we climbed aboard I-40 and headed East.  Poor road conditions and half a dozen long grades didn't make for a relaxing afternoon.  Knowing about and having done the heavy duty grades between Ash Fork and Williams half a dozen times before we knew enough to stop and un-hook the Jeep.

Anyway that was our day.  Don't know where we'll end up tomorrow but I suppose it will be somewhere...................
