SNOWY DAY IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
Our overnight snowfall didn't come as a surprise, it had been predicted. My attitude towards that snowfall didn't come as a surprise either, it had been anticipated. Oh well, it is that time of year after all and it could be easier if I just got on with accepting it I guess. Last years November and early December weather unfortunately spoiled me.
‘AWWWWW NUTS…..SNOW AGAIN!!!!!
DOCKSIDE PICNIC TABLES AND DOCK RAILINGS HIBERNATING FOR THE WINTER

LIKED THESE LIGHTS ON CAMERON STREET
Not a long Jeep ride again this morning. Into Bayfield, around a few streets, out into the countryside for awhile then back home. When we started out there was some light snow in the air but by the time Pheebs and I got home it was snowing pretty good. Very pretty in the countryside.
LIKE ME, PHEEBS WOULD SOONER LOOK AT THE COLD WINTER SCENERY FROM INSIDE THE JEEP AS OPPOSED TO OUTSIDE THE JEEP
SNOWY WINDS ARE PICKING UP
‘OH DAD I DON’T LIKE THIS COLD WEATHER LET’S GET BACK IN THE JEEP
Kelly hasn't been feeling the best this past week and a half and her Doctor this morning wanted her to go to Goderich for blood tests. With the weather being what it was and the roads being what they were she wasn't keen on driving up there so I re-fired up the Jeep, we all piled in, and off we went. Pheebs and I in the front with Miss Kelly in the back. Following her blood test at the Dyna Care Lab we popped into A&W for a couple Double Buddy Burgers before heading home through the snow. Made it just in time, as an hour later we had us a real heavy snowfall coming down. Luckily no wind or conditions would have been really bad.
PHEEBS EYES ARE GLUED TO THE DOOR AT GODERICH’S ‘DYNACARE LABORATORY AND HEALTH SERVICES CENTER’ WAITING FOR KELLY TO RE-EMERGE
SNOW INCREASED AS THE MORNING WORE ON
Squirrely took advantage of a mistake I made this morning when I left a broom leaning against the bird feeder platform. I use that broom to brush snow of the feeder but Squirrely used it as a ladder to shinny up the handle and flip himself up onto the feeder. Soon as I removed the broom I removed the problem therefore I am still ahead in the scoring:))
DEFINITELY NOT MY IDEA OF RVING
GET ME OUGHTA HERE WILL YA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’M SURE GLAD I NEVER HAD A JOB WORKING OUTSIDE IN THE WINTER
FARMER’S WERE OUT AND ABOUT
LOOKS LIKE THE FIELD DRAINAGE CREW PACKED IT IN AGAIN
I THINK THESE COLORED SPOOLS OF DRAINAGE PIPE ARE MOUNTED ON THE SPKE BELOW BEFORE BEING ROLLED OUT INTO THE DRAINAGE TRENCHES

WE WERE PLODDING ALONG SO SLOW THIS MORNING EVEN FARM TRACTORS WERE GOING BY US
NO MATTER THE BLOWING SNOW JUST KEEP ON PLOWING
GROANER'S CORNER:(( Police caught a guy trying to cash a phony check and took him down to the station. He was charged with passing a bad check. While the officers were distracted, the crook grabbed the check off the desk and swallowed it. No problem: the police waited five or six hours and then charged the guy with passing the bad check…….twice.

Husband's note on refrigerator for wife: Someone from the Gyna Colleges called. They said the Pabst beer is normal. I didn't know you liked beer.
A fisherman returned to shore with a giant marlin that was bigger and heavier than he. On the way to the cleaning shed, he ran into a second fisherman who had a stringer with a dozen baby minnows. The second fisherman looked at the marlin, turned to the first fisherman and said, " Only caught one, eh?"

When you consider Christmas, there are four stages in your life:-
1) You believe in Santa
2) You don't believe in Santa
3) You are Santa
4) You look like Santa

Just so you will know. It was 73 F with scattered sunshine here in Rockport Tx most of the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteYour weather sure has taken a turn for the worse today. We have Sunny 40F in Seattle today. I bet Kelly was glad you and Pheebs drove her to her medical test. Hope she feels better soon. We wanted to travel down the Oregon Coast next week, but the winds are going to be too breezy that week. So we may just stay here in Seattle until we can find a calmer weather window. PHOTOS: I also liked the colored lights on Cameron Street. We need some colored lights on these darker December days. The "pole walkers" coats also has some good color. Your Lake Huron waves shot is crisp and clear...lots of motion in that photo. I also love all the shots of it snowing on the various trees. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos tonight. Love how Miss Pheebs' Mom is agreeable to sitting in the back so that Miss Pheebs can enjoy the view. Saying a prayer for Kelly.
ReplyDeleteOh, yum, those A & W burgers are so good !
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are really nice....snow, rare for us... Maybe every 20 years.
The snow does look pretty but the cold nit so much. Hope Kelly is ok and feels better soon.
ReplyDeleteI had a couple of Jobs where I worked outside in the winter sure was not fun!
Pretty countryside, but these pics look really cold! That sideways snow "feels" icy. Hope they find what's got Kelly down so they can get her fixed up quickly. Squirrely must have thought you'd finally joined team squirrel and put that broom there just for him :-))
ReplyDeleteNice to see some snow photos. Hugs to Kelly and special thoughts that she will be better soon.
ReplyDeleteHope Kelly feels better soon. Love the pictures of Pheebs in the snow, not impressed at all with that stuff, is she? I liked the lights as well, very festive.
