Snow came in the night changing our dull gray green brown landscape to white again. Those moderate drizzly wet snow flurry showers continued for most of the morning. Highways were wet with road salt while secondary and country roads were lightly covered. Pheebs and I headed off in the direction of Clinton with our first stop at Huron Tirecraft to check on a couple 22.5 inch Michelin tires. Next stop was a coffee to go at Tim Hortons. From there I popped Libby into 4 wheel drive and headed out into the countryside looking for a few photos.

SNOW COVERED BACK ROADS TODAY
Well the score changed again and is now Squirrel 6 – Al 5!!. Looking up from our sunroom computer this afternoon about 1 o’clock I saw a black Squirrel up on our bird feeding station. #!!%&** He had a big grinning sneer on his face and he flicked me ‘the paw’!! Having no idea how he got up there I kept a close eye on the feeder but it wasn’t close enough. Twice more I had to shoo him off. Don’t know if it’s a him or her but there were 3 of the little black Devils racing around the yard today. Probably has something to do with the corn we’ve been putting out for them this year.
BANNOCKBURN CONSERVATION AREA PARKING LOT
Thinking back to this date over our past RV Travel years I was curious to see where we were every November 27th so with our Blogger Archive feature at the top of my sidebar I went and had me a look. Here's where we were hanging out………………

It's the long afternoons that are most difficult sometimes. For me, mornings have always been a time of doing things and I haven't changed much on that over the years. Still up before dawn and out the door not long afterwards going somewhere or doing something. I just seem to be driven to do that every day. To get up then sit around doing nothing doesn't work for me. Slowing down in the afternoon seems easier but that's where I stumble. Sliding into evening isn't too bad because I have my blog to put together and that does keep me busy for a few hours. As long as I am able to continue my relaxing Jeep rides with Pheebs for a few hours each morning I at least have a chance of keeping my head above water. Those few precious hours with my best Pal, my music, and my camera, whether wandering country roads or walking quiet forest paths is always the highlight of each waking day for me and I so much look forward to it. I am one of those people who needs their 'alone' time.
A SNOWY DAY IN BAIRDS CEMETERY
Somewhere in tonight’s post I have left a ‘clue’ (maybe two) about something concerning the ‘Bayfield Bunches’ near future. I’m curious to see if anyone picks up on it………….
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man was sitting in his house when he heard a tapping on the door. He went to see who it was. He opened the door and looked around he then heard a tiny voice, "Hey mister, could you lend me 10 bucks?" The man looked down and saw a snail sitting on his porch. He said, "What do you want?" The snail said, "Could you lend me 10 bucks?" The man yelled, "get out of here!" and then kicked him off the porch. About a year later the man hears a tapping on his door again. He goes out to see who it is. He looks around and he finally heard a tiny voice say, "What did you do that for?"

Nice wintry pictures. Similar weather here.
ReplyDelete22.5 Big rv tires?

ReplyDelete2018 - Home, we haven't left yet.
ReplyDeleteWell you either bought a set of 22.5 snow tires or a cemetery plot
ReplyDeleteYup, those big tires were the first hint, and 2018...yet? that is the other hint. Congrats! I figured you might just decide to go after all. Hope maybe we run into you. Leaving here on Jan 20 taking the southern route through Desert Hot Springs, Yuma, Organ Pipe, Tucson, into New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and into Florida by Feb 9. Maybe our ships will pass.
ReplyDeleteFirst clue-22.5-inch tires. Then the word "yet".
ReplyDeleteTires and haven't left yet seems to say you are planning to go. Gorgeous winter photos. So beautiful. I miss sitting warm and snug by the Woodstove watching the snow and listening to the peaceful quiet. But then I have to go out in it and no thanks. Too cold for me. Not to mention shoveling.
ReplyDeleteGit those new tires on and get on down here! Yay, safe travels. We'll be watching for you! Start loading ...
ReplyDeleteTires obviously, but for me it would have been all those pics of SNOW! :-)
ReplyDeleteSeems like we weren't the only ones to think that you will soon be heading South. The Temps in Florida are quite cozy at this time.
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
Your snow photos are great......"Haven't left yet" Bet you are heading out......good for you. Just take your time getting there.
ReplyDelete2018 - Home, haven't left yet.
ReplyDeleteDrive safe with those new tires.
I thought the "2018--haven't left home yet" remark and the Cowboy said the only thing you own which would need tires that big is the motorhome. Your spot is open.
ReplyDeleteYou wouldn't be heading for Arizona would you?? (grin)
ReplyDeleteI believe just about everyone has said the same thing, big tires and haven't left home yet. Could we all be right?
ReplyDeleteDeb
Really beautiful photos. I think Willie Nelson's On The Road Again may be playing in Bayfield Bunches' future.
ReplyDeleteThe tires were the biggest clue. Life is short. Live each day to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the pictures beautiful when your sitting on this side of the screen.
ReplyDeleteWell happy and safe travels Bayfield Bunch!
I got it right away! Now for the next clue!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures of the snow covered trees. I agree with everyone else about the hints...
ReplyDeleteCelebrating the Dance
Yep, "tires" and "yet". :-) I'm thankful you stuck around home long enough this year to get some really gorgeous photos of snow. We don't see much of that here in western Washington State. Hit the road!
ReplyDeleteDang, I was looking forward to more Bayfield winter pix! You need to go though, hope it's a great trip! Gord.
ReplyDeleteSomething about tires and this: 2018 - Home, we haven't left yet
ReplyDeleteIts nice and warm here in Arizona. Have a good trip.
ReplyDeleteAl, Brenda, AZ today, 75 and sunny! I'm glad you have come to your senses, lol! Max.
ReplyDeleteSnowbirds are starting to arrive here in Arizona! HURRY!
ReplyDeleteOH NO! Al is going to die and go to the CEMETERY!!!!! How will I get my daily jokes and Canada Fix if Al is in the Cemetery?????
ReplyDeleteI think most found both clues. May have to work harder on Dolly to change her mind.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the great Winter pics.
ReplyDeleteI figured a day or two ago I was seeing some restlessness and those couple of clues today confirmed it for me. Roaming the country around Bayfield is great and the snow pictures are a good change, but all that monochromatic stuff can get a little depressing. Hope we cross trails down here somewhere.

ReplyDeleteYep. Sounds right for ya.
ReplyDeleteThat last picture is a stunner. Would love to see one enlarged and framed (and hanging in my place ;->...). Really nice.
Your snowy images are gorgeous but I like the idea of big wheels rolling.
