Kelly was out the door early and off to Goderich for her Dentist appointment. With a cloudy overcast and rain drizzles in the air Pheebs and I wandered into Bayfield and stopped for a walk at Pioneer Park atop the bluffs overlooking Lake Huron. Nobody else around. Nice.

Knowing we wouldn’t be going far I didn’t bother picking up a coffee. With the Jeep scheduled for undercoating this afternoon I didn’t want to head out on any muddy roads so we stayed on pavement motoring slowly south on the Bronson Line for about 5 miles then pulled a U turn in Blake and headed back to Bayfield.
Wanting to have the Jeep’s underside as clean as possible we stopped at the Bayfield car wash and I hosed down the wheel wells and underbody. From there it was home we went. Fried myself up a big bowl of porridge.

Would have been an Okay day for taking care of some outside chores but again neither interest nor energy was forthcoming. Ended up reading for most of the day and I was Okay with that. It’s those days when the interest is there but the energy isn’t or the energy is and the interest isn’t that are the bigger problem days. Loss of both at the same time seems to sometimes bring about a bit of quiet and welcome contentment.

I was back into the Jeep about 2 p.m. and headed for Goderich’s Canadian Tire Store for the 3:30 undercoating appointment. All went well and I was home again by 4. Not often I’m out and about in the late afternoons anymore and it was interesting on the way home to see different lighting conditions. With old Sol over into the Western sky instead of earlier mornings East I though landscapes looked pleasantly different. And I liked that………………….

Glad you're feeling contented.
ReplyDeleteWe have to give ourselves permission to just "be" sometimes. Finding contentment there means we're going to be just fine. Your sunroom is so inviting!
ReplyDeleteHi Al, when you going to AZ ?
ReplyDeleteWe not going this year.
DeleteSo glad that you are at peace with yourself. I like the ambience of your sun room. Somebody really knows how to furnish and arrange a room! I look forward to your beautiful photos every night. They give me some peace in a world of bedlam. Thanks,
ReplyDeleteThat is a mighty fine reading room you have. The high ceiling and all those windows is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteNever seen a black squirrel like you have there. Are they native to your area? Living in the mountains in California, we only have the bushy tail gray squirrels..
ReplyDeleteGotta love those days that you are relaxed and content, reading is always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteNice to get Jeepers undercoated to help protect against the winter corrosion.
We stay pretty close to home these days, too...LOVE the bird photos! I can go through a whole sock full of thistle in one day now that the verdins are back! It is quite expensive seed, but there are so many of them!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your room full of light. May be some afternoon drives in store for a different light?
