MY RECLINER FINALLY CAME TO MY RESCUE
STOPPED NEAR KERR'S CAMPGROUND EARLIER TODAY FOR A LEG STRETCH BUT THE MOSQUITOS GOT US
With temperatures already over 71F at 8 o’clock this morning I knew it was going to be ‘another’ inside day, and so it was. Pheebs and I did get out for a short jaunt but going for a walk anywhere was totally out of the question. We had one leg stretch stop and the Mosquitos were right on us. Mosquitos love this kind of wretched hot and humid weather.
GLAD I WASN’T ONE OF THESE FELLAS WORKING IN TODAY’S HEAT
GUESS WE’LL BE SEEING LOTS OF THESE AFTER TODAY
We were back home about an hour after we left and aside from carrying some clothes out to the rig that was it for me. It wasn’t that the day didn’t look nice, it did, but for me the air was way to ickily sticky.
GOLDENROD IN FULL BLOOM
Seeing a car drive slowly by out front this afternoon reminded me it was 15 years ago today Kelly and I in our search for a house drove into this Park and spotted a mobile home Park model on the bulletin board for sale. The price was unbelievably low so we decided to have a look. Driving down the street we spotted it and I knew instantly ‘this was it’. And it was. We’re still here all these years later. Below is how we first saw it (with the exception of the 2 cedar trees) that day and nobody was in it. In fact it had been empty for 3 years. Where you see the wooden door is now where our sunroom is.
While looking for the above photo I came across a few pics of our first RV winter when we had a truck and fifth wheel'.
THIS NICE GMC TRUCK HAD WAAAAAAY TOO MANY ‘BELLS AND WHISTLES’ FOR ME
‘OMG’ MY SPAGHETTI JUST MOVED"!!
THIS WAS WHEN WE WERE TRULY A ‘BUNCH’ AND ON THE COUCH IS LITTLE CORA (MOTORMOUSE) AND MAX….CHECKERS IS ON THE FLOOR AND OF COURSE THAT’S THE HEAD HONCHO BACK THERE IN THE CORNER ON OUR SHARED LAPTOP COMPUTER …… PHOTO MIGHT HAVE BEEN TAKEN IN PANCHO VILLA STATE PARK COLUMBUS, NEW MEXICO
I THINK THIS MIGHT BE AT THE FOOT OF ‘KITT PEAK’ IN ARIZONA
HAD FORGOT TO POST THESE 3 PHOTOS LAST FRIDAY WHEN I MOVED OUR ‘BIRD FEEDING STATION’
MOVED THE FEEDER FROM THE TOP HOLE TO THE BOTTOM HOLE
After restlessly bonking around in the house for a few hours today my recliner finally came to my rescue about 2 p.m. Every time I slip into the comfy cozy cushiness of my overstuffed chair I figure that's it, why would I in my right mind ever leave such a safe and secure comfortable place to go out and face the world again and again. I don't have a decent logical answer for that so out of habit I keep dragging myself up to go do that silly world thing over and over day after day. It just don't make no good darn sense to me……..
MISS PHEEBS TIPPY TOEING THROUGH THE WET DEW LADEN GRASS THIS MORNING
GROANER’S CORNER:(( Angus, while riding his heavy workhorse was trapped in a bog and seemed a goner when Big Mick O'Reilly wandered by. "Help!" Angus shouted, "I'm sinkin'!" Don't worry," assured Mick. "Next to the Strong Muldoon, I’m the strongest man in Erin, and I'll pull ye right out o' there." Mick leaned out and grabbed Angus’s hand and pulled and pulled to no avail. After two more unsuccessful attempts, Mick said to Angus, "I can't do it. The Strong Muldoon could do it alone, mebbe, but I’ll have to get some help." As Mick was leaving, Angus called "Mick! Mick! D'ye think it would help if I pull me feet out of the stirrups?

- “There was a sign hanging in the window of a dry cleaners I passed by. It read: 'So-and-So Dry Cleaners. Working on the same spot for 72 years.'
- If life is a waste of time and time is a waste of life, then let's all get wasted together and have the time of our lives.
- On the Church bulletin board:: Thursday at 5:00 pm, there will be a meeting of the Little Mothers Club. All ladies wishing to be "Little Mothers" will meet with the Pastor in his private study.

Just a thought. One reason to get up and about.... Miss Pheebs, she would so miss not going on her daily outings with you.
ReplyDeleteYou sure made some wonderful improvements to you place there over the years
ReplyDeleteGetting out for fresh air and exercise is a good thing and maintaining your beautiful landscaped property.
I have always enjoyed camping and RVing. Got my first RV (a big pop-up trailer with fabric sides) back in the 1960's and have since had a bumper pull trailer, a class-c motorhome, and now a diesel pusher.
