We have been in a dry spell for awhile with area lawns beginning to turn brown. Breaking that spell were showers Friday evening with greenery benefiting with a wee boost. Not really enough rain but it was better than nothing. Those rains left us with a heavy Saturday morning gloomy looking cloud cover and I’m afraid my mood for the day reflected that.
A FREQUENT STOPPING PLACE FOR PHEEBS AND I
Me and the little Spoogins did get out for a short drive southeast of Bayfield stopping at the Linfield Wildlife Area on Pavilion Road. A slight drizzle in the air but we at least got ourselves out for some fresh air. With my mood matching the day my mind was awash with thoughts about the days, weeks, and months ahead.
SOME OF OUR SOUTHWEST ROCKS
I took Pheebs out for supper and we grabbed ourselves a burg at the Woodland Drive-in at the south end of Bayfield. Our cloudy skies began clearing shortly after 6 and we were soon basking in sunshine. For me there’s nothing like a bit of sunshine to be begin lifting sagging spirits. Kelly comes home Sunday:))
GROANER’S CORNER:(( A husband and wife were at a party chatting with some friends when the subject of marriage counseling came up. "Oh, we'll never need that. My husband and I have a great relationship," the wife explained. "He was a communications major in college, and I majored in theater arts. He communicates really well, and I just act as if I'm listening."
