At the risk of yet again sounding like a worn out record I have to start off for the umpteenth time with the weather because it is so nice. Especially the cooler mornings. At least I’m not doing my usual mumbling and grumbling about heat and humidity and that has to be a big plus I figure.
ON OUR WAY TO GODERICH WE SPOTTED THIS NICE OLD TRUCK
HEY IS THAT A MERMAID I SEE OUT THERE
OOPS GUESS NOT
SUNDAY MORNING YOGA CLASS ON THE PATIO OF THE BEACH STREET STATION RESTAURANT

LOTS OF FOLKS OUT WALKING THIS MORNING
Pheebs and I headed off up into Amish/Mennonite country in hopes of tracking down some buggy tracks leading to where the Angels were singing. We were successful in finding which farm was hosting their Sunday morning get together so parked on the road for a few minutes listening to the folks voices lifting and falling on the mornings cool southern breeze. It’s not exactly singing they are doing because I can never make out any words. It’s a sound I can’t describe.
We were back home about noon and Mike was here working on our shed roof. With Monday’s weather forecast predicting rain he decided to get at the roof a day earlier. Will be glad to have that new shed roof project behind us.
GOTTA KEEP THAT EXPENSIVE MACHINERY DRY
IT’S NOT JUST ALL COWS AND TRACTORS OUT HERE IN THE COUNTRYSIDE
Catched me 3 more frogs today and escorted them peacefully over to the Park’s pond where they will have lots of company with a zillion other little froggies.

Started my food intake day the same as usual with a Yummy Yuk shake. Carrot muffin for morning break and a small hunk of frying sausage for lunch. Supper consisted of Chicken Noodle Soup and two pieces of toast. For desert I chased that all down with a peanut butter and honey sammich. Nope, no chance of me fading away any time soon.
MORE EARLY SIGNS OF AUTUMN EVERY DAY
Sometimes sitting here at the keyboard at night putting my post together for the day I think to myself, ‘what can I write about that I won’t later regret at some point or worry about.’ Well I guess if I kept myself and my thoughts and feelings out of my posts I would probably be on some pretty safe ground as a blogger and my concerns would be absent. However that’s not who I am and I guess I am just stuck with myself, what I think, and my daily desire to share my mind and my hobbies publicly. Oh Dear…………..
GROANER’S CORNER:(( A man is sitting at the bar in his local tavern, furiously imbibing shots of whiskey. One of his friends happens to come into the bar and sees him. "Lou," says the shocked friend, "what are you doing? I've known you for over fifteen years, and I've never seen you take a drink before. What's going on?" Without even taking his eyes off his newly filled shot glass, the man replies, "My wife just ran off with my best friend." He then throws back another shot of whisky in one gulp. "But," says the other man, "I'm your best friend!" The man turns to his friend, looks at him through bloodshot eyes, smiles, and then slurs, "Not anymore! He is!"

Nice that Mike will get that roof done before the rains begin. And great to hear that your are eating well.
ReplyDeleteYou always post a great blog. Love all the pictures and the explanations that go along with them. Keep up the great work.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures, the park bench under the trees in particular today.
ReplyDeleteIf we worried about everything we wrote and how we said it, we'd probably never be able to say anything honestly. We can only hope our words are taken in the context we mean them and no offense taken. Keep up just what you are doing!
Not much wind in that windsock. I wish highway departments would put them in the medians on the highways every 10 miles or so. Sure would help the truckers and RVers!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to hear the singing - so cool from a simple barn. Love the sweet brown cow. Your gold fish are so pretty, hope they're going to join the frogs in the bigger pond :-)) Great last pic.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are always so wonderful. Especially enjoyed the fall colors today.
ReplyDeleteI remember your past posts on the Angels singing, what a great image!
