PHEEBS ALWAYS GETS ALL THE ATTENTION AT THE DRIVE-THRUS……….

At first light I saw fog hanging in the pine trees and right away knew we were going to be in for a hot and humid day.  And I was right.  The doddering Daddy-Doggy duo were out the door early while there were still a few last smatterings of coolness in the air.

COUNTRY ROADS ARE BUSY WITH FARM MACHINERY MOVING ABOUT

AND FARM FOLKS ALWAYS SEEM TO BE SO GOSH DARN FRIENDLY TOO

It was our usual route and routine again with one minor change.  They gave me a cranberry muffin at McDonalds instead of my usual carrot muffin.  Not nice to un-expectantly change things up on old guys!!  Quite often it is the two same ladies we see going through the drive-thru and soon as we pull up to the wickets both those ladies brighten right up with big Colgate smiles.  It’s Pheebs they are happy to see and always make a fuss over her.  I don’t think either one of those ladies has ever noticed there is actually somebody in the driver’s seat driving the Jeep.

I’VE ALWAYS LIKED ‘HOT RODS’ ANDI USED TO HAVE HOT ROD MAGAZINES WHEN I WAS KID…..COOL STUFF

With an off-shore breeze it wasn’t too bad in the shade down around the beach area at the south end of Rotary Cove.  A few people already stretched out half naked in the sand took my mind back to my younger years.  We would just about burn ourselves to a crisp trying to deepen those already deep brown summer tans.  Oh the foolish follies of frivolous youth.

A LONE MAN SITS BY THE WATER’S EDGE PENNING HIS THOUGHTS

After picking up a few things at Walmart we made fast tracks for home.  No point in even thinking about walking or hiking anywhere simply because it was already too hot and with this year’s mosquito infestation upon us right now a walk would have been brutal.  Oh how I am looking forward to cooler Autumn air.  Soooooo glad we decided to put central Air in about 5 years ago.  Wouldn’t be without it.

Not a good night's sleep so I ended up kinda tiredly slouching around in my recliner for the afternoon with my lap top perched on me trying to think of something interesting to write about.  Didn't have much luck...............

There was a blonde, brunette, and a red-head on a sinking ship. It was two miles to get to shore, so the brunette swims 1 mile and drowns, the red-head swam 1 mile and got eaten by a shark.  Then the blonde swam 1 mile got tired and swam back to the ship.
