Decided to stop at a campground this afternoon . Al wasn't feeling much better and was too tired to continue.
After having no food since Fri. afternoon, he decided to try some chicken soup. So far so good. That and Imodium. :)
Will see what tomorrow brings .
Thank you for your comments, emails and helpful concern. He has not opened his computer since being sick. so that sure tells me he is not himself yet.
K & P
Hang in there. It should start getting better hour by hour.
ReplyDeleteHugs.
Thanks for the update. Was wondering how you all were doing today. Hope he is feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteThinking of all of you and hoping Al feels better real soon:)
ReplyDeleteWest Virginia is a pretty state but not when you are sick.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are at a campground with water and electric. David had similar problems a month ago. Keep checking Al's temperature. If it gets to a 101, take him to the hospital. Get well AL! We're thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteGet well, Al. You don't aNd to bring that to your Aunt.
ReplyDelete'Want', dang fingers
ReplyDeleteGet well Al, blogland needs it favourite curmudgeon feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're taking good care of him Kelly.
ReplyDeleteWhat an thing to happen when you are starting on a trip. His best bet is probably to keep trying to eat small amounts of foods, drink plenty of liquids, and have some lazy days with not many miles.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kelly, for keeping us up-to-date! Darn it. Not fair that that long-awaited trip had to start with such a bummer. Do hope Monday is a better day. Good that you have all the comforts of home where you are! And, for Al, the greatest of those "comforts" are Kelly and Pheebes. Hang in there, knowing that you have lots of support here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for updating, Kelly! Feel better soon, Al!

Hope Al is feeling better tomorrow and you are able to enjoy the day traveling south to warmer weather.
ReplyDeleteNothing like chicken soup for what is not right with us. Wishing Al a speedy recovery
ReplyDeleteSounds like poor Al is suffering from a nasty case of the stomach flu. It's been going around. Hope he feels better soon. Tell him to keep sipping away at the fluids.
ReplyDeleteAl, we're sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. We pray it will soon be in your rear view mirror. We'll say what you already know, and that is that your lucky to have Kelly and Pheebs by your side. Maybe we'll see you this winter at the Arizona Teepee.
ReplyDeleteEd and Sharon and Bogie
Yes chicken soup should make anyone feel better even Al.
ReplyDeleteJust relax and get better soon then brand new again.
Being sick is no fun, but being sick while traveling is worse. Did he eat something at the Hurds which caused these problems? Hope he is getting better soon.
ReplyDeleteGlad your in a campground where you can rest, rest, rest....and stay warm and hydrated. Kelly make sure your not next. Thanks for the update.
ReplyDeleteNothing worse than being sick and having to do something--Mike caught strep throat in Arkansas one Christmas and drove the rig all the way back to Montana--miserable!
ReplyDeleteDen and I are healthy most of our Winter Trip..We don't get around a big crowd of people much. Maybe just being with so many people and kids he picked up the flu bug.Every time after we come home and get around our little grandsons, I get sick..Hugs..Chicken soup is Jewish Penicillin!!
ReplyDeleteThe campground was a smart move. Much less stress on both of you with full hookups and a stable "neighborhood." I hope Al feels better soon so you can resume your travels to Florida and Arizona.
ReplyDeleteHope you all are feeling better soon. We went by Bayfield yesterday and thought of you guys. I am just writing about it in our blog aplacecalledaway.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteGet better soon Al! All 12 paws are sending you healing vibes.
ReplyDeleteNina
Sure hope Al gets to feeling better soon and that it isn't contagious...
ReplyDeleteHope you are better soon Al.
ReplyDeleteAl. When you're feeling better and can continue your journey, may I suggest you take route 66 east at Front Royal to exit 28 route 17 south to Fredricksburg Virginia then south on I95 to Florida
ReplyDeleteAl & Kelly
ReplyDeleteI hope the two of you have a safe trip. I hope that you get to feeling better soon Al. There really is nothing worse than going on a trip and getting ill or getting injured . Get well soon!
We sure hope Al feels better really soon, Kelly. We also hope you and Pheebs stay healthy! Thanks for keeping us up to date.
