WHAT THE HECK COULD THIS GUY BE LOOKING AT????
Needed a few pics for tonight's post so under bright blue sunny skies Pheebe and I headed out about 8:30. For some totally unknown reason I was not feeling well when I woke up this morning so our Jeep drive was not a long one. I had thought once I was up for awhile and spent some time out in the fresh air I'd feel better but it never happened. Did manage a few photos before heading back home whereupon I spent a beautiful mid August day crumpled up in my recliner. It was too hot and humid to go outside anyway. And more of that hot sticky crap Thursday!! I hear summers are predicted to get hotter and stickier & if that is the case which I have no doubt it is I think we should pack up our socks and move to Nova Scotia where Real-estate is way cheaper and the cooling North Atlantic ocean breezes are much more refreshingly comfortable……………………….
SPOTTED THIS GOAT LOOKING UP INTO THE AIR SO I STOPPED TO SEE WHAT IT WAS LOOKING AT
COULD IT BE A U.F.O.??
‘HEY WHATCHA LOOKIN AT BUDDY’!!
‘A-HA’ THEN I SAW WHAT THIS STRETCHY NECK FELLOW WAS UP TO
SURE LIKED THOSE WILLOW TREE LEAVES
QUITE A JIG HE WAS DOING
WE ALSO SPOTTED US A WHOLE MESS OF WILD TURKEYS TOO
NOTICE HOW THE YOUNG FELLERS HAVE ALREADY BEEN TAUGHT TO KEEP THEIR HEADS DOWN
I FIGURE THERE WERE MAYBE 2 IF NOT 3 FAMILIES TRAVELING TOGETHER HERE
AND WE EVEN SAW OURSELVES A SNAIL ON A LILY PAD….NOW HOW’S THAT FOR A MIGHTY FINE MORNING EH:))
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A man is driving down a country road, when he spots a farmer standing in the middle of a huge field of grass. He pulls the car over to the side of the road and notices that the farmer is just standing there, doing nothing, looking at nothing. The man gets out of the car, walks all the way out to the farmer and asks him, "Ah excuse me mister, but what are you doing?" The farmer replies, "I'm trying to win a Nobel Prize." "How?" asks the man, puzzled. "Well I heard they give the Nobel Prize to people who are out standing in their field."

A distraught senior citizen phoned her doctor's office. 'Is it true,' she wanted to know, 'that the medication you prescribed has to be taken for the rest of my life?' 'Yes, I'm afraid so,' the doctor told her. There was a moment of silence before the senior lady replied, 'I'm wondering, then, just how serious is my condition because this prescription is marked 'NO REFILLS'.'
So much fun to watch these animals do what they need to do to get food.
ReplyDeleteNova Scotia is wonderful at this time of year, now it the time to be there.
After the past month of heat, Nova Scotia does sound like a good idea.
ReplyDeleteNice goat pics and I heard from a friend in Michigan this morning that he was melting due to heat and humidity.
ReplyDeleteAnd Nova Scotia is quite photogenic!
ReplyDeleteLove the dancing goats!! If the heating trend continues I think Nova Scotia will see an influx of summer travelers. We are so done with the head and humidity of the Midwest.
ReplyDeleteThere is always Beautiful British Columbia to consider. Very temperate mild climate, close to the Ocean and the Mountains. Easy to travel to Arizona also.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately priced even higher than Ontario.
DeleteJohn and Bridget Hatch (bloggers) are in Nova Scotia with their motorhome right now..It is still on my bucket list, but their photos are really great!! Hey, the East Coast of the US all the way down to Florida could be your RV playpen!!
ReplyDeleteOur month in Nova Scotia is almost over. As you say, the weather has been wonderful. But of course our Verizon hotspot does not work here, and the WiFi service at the last few campgrounds has been miserable. Someday we will get back to somewhere Merikay can update our blog.
ReplyDeleteHahaha...I have thought about you moving to the Maritimes a long time ago. Not only because of the much cooler summer climate but also because of the lower priced real estate. But I know an even better place for snowbirds. You'd be sooo close to the U.S. Border and house prices are even lower than in NS. Currently there is a nice house with owned lot for 55K. The secret place is called CAMPOBELLO ISLAND. (www.campobello.com) Aw..now it's not a secret anymore. :-(
ReplyDelete,,,btw. how about a recon trip before heading south?
ReplyDeleteWhen the ice all melts in Greenland you might find yourself on your own little island!
ReplyDeleteLove your photos today. So expressive.
