MORNING HUGS
I have always liked the sound of children laughing and playing in the background and especially on some pieces of music I have heard over the years. As long as the sound is distant and is part of the background it is a happy sound for me. I was reminded of that this morning shortly after 7 when I heard little Ella getting up and talking to Kelly. Tiny little footsteps in the hall, a happy squeal when she first spotted Pheebe and a big smiley ‘Hi Al’. Ella is a talker and a very advanced talker for a 3 year old at that. Always inquisitive, always on the go and always that smiling little face with those big bright beaming eyes
I THINK SOMEBODY REALLY LIKES THEIR BREAKFAST
KELLY SHOWS ELLA HOW TO FIND SOME GAMES ON THIS OLDER VERSION BLACKBERRY WE HAVE
DIDN’T TAKE HER LONG TO GET THE HANG OF IT
WHAT ELLA DOESN’T KNOW YET IS THIS BLACKBERRY IS GOING HOME WITH THEM AND WILL BE HERS…..HER DAD RICARDO IS A WHIZ WITH THESE THINGS SO IT WILL BE A GREAT LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR THEM BOTH
Rebecca, Ricardo, and bouncing little Ella headed off to the beach shortly after 10. Despite a cloud cover it was warm and the water was for sure going to be just as wet on a cloudy day as a sunny day.
HAD US A CAMPFIRE TONIGHT……AND SMORES:))
Still a lot of humidity in the air but I did manage about half an hour transplanting some prickly pear cactus along with a few ‘hens and chickens’. No not the feathery kind. Clouds began clearing around noon with temperatures again rising. It was another inside afternoon for Al. Had myself a look on the internet as to where the least amount of humidity occurs in all of Canada and wouldn’t you know it the answer to that is just about anywhere other than southern Ontario. Windsor is ranked as having the highest humidity across the country and as bad luck would have it we live only about a 2 hours drive from Windsor!!!!!!!
A PRETTY SMOOSHY SMORE
PHEEBS IS HOPING ELLA IS GOING TO SHARE HER GRAHAM CRACKER….WHICH SHE DID
HERE’S OLD GRUMPY HIMSELF
A FEW DANCE MOVES AROUND THE CAMPFIRE
Been a long time since we've had a backyard campfire so I gathered up some wood and built a sticks and logs teepee in the fire pit. After supper we fired it up and out came the marsh mellows. It was Ella's first ever campfire and that of course made it extra special not only for Ella but the rest of us as well.

#2 - In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird, and people take Prozac to make it normal.
#1 - Life is like a jar of jalapeno peppers. What you do today may be a burning issue tomorrow.
And remember this because it is important……Wine is like duct tape, it fixes everything.
What a fun day and campfire w/s'mores to top it off! Ella is absolutely adorable!
ReplyDeleteAl I hardly recognized you without your hat! Tell Kelly I really like that little jacket she is wearing. That Ella is just full of joy. I think you are going to miss her when she has to go home with mommy and daddy.
ReplyDeleteI just love campfires, but not marshmallows, so I've never eaten a s'more!
ReplyDeleteElla and Pheebs seem to have a mutual admiration for each other. Adorable, Al. :)
ReplyDeleteElla likes her marshmallows the way I do :-) Adorable photos. Lucky Pheebs to have the love of a little girl for a few days.
