BAYFIELD HARBOR
Today was basically a repeat of Saturday with the exception Pheebs & I headed out for a short Jeep drive earlier this morning before the heat built up again. Pheebs also treed a Raccoon in our back yard when I first let her out around about 5:15 a.m.. Coon later came down & slipped over the fence.
SAILING ON LAKE HURON

Today marked the one year anniversary of the tragic Yarnell Hill fire which claimed the lives of 19 young firefighters near our South-West home in Congress Arizona last June. THE PAIN STILL LINGERS Thanks to Cheryl Ann from DEEP CANYON for mentioning that on her post today.
GROANER'S CORNER:(( A vacationer e-mailed a seaside hotel to ask its location.
"It's only a stone's throw away from the beach," he was told.
"But how will I recognize it?" asked the man.
Back came the reply: "It's the one with all the broken windows."
I agree- great picture!
ReplyDeleteOne of the national news channels interviewed a lady from Yarnell the other day. They were talking about a couple of fires in Arizona. Hope they are not in your area.
ReplyDeleteYes it was another wonderful summer day.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the harbor in Bayfield.
Perfect day to be out in the boats.
I remember ...
ReplyDeleteWe have a Yarnell Street exit off one of our freeways and every time I pass I say a little prayer for the 19. And for rain. It is scary dry in SoCal right now and the threat of a horrible fire season is very real. Love the harbor pics - the last one is especially beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHa ha. I just found your welcome to us as followers!
