TONIGHT’S AFTER SUPPER WALK ALONG THE PARK’S POND
No, no, no, I am determined not to start another post off with a weather report telling you it is again cloudy, cold, damp & wet. But I will tell you we are still having to wear our winter coats on some of our morning walks & I had the furnace running again to day in order to take the chill out of the air.
OUR HOSTAS ARE COMING ALONG NICELY
Recently retired TOM up there in that Alaska place has some good basic advice regarding the financial trials & tribulations of retirement. Tom's suggestion to a friend may have that friend on his way to less worry & more accountable money.
LOVE TO SEE BLUE SKIES WHETHER THEY ARE OVERHEAD OR REFLECTED IN A SWAMPY POOL OF FORESTED WATER
There are 4 photos of people’s pets on this PET FRIENDLY website. One of them you just might recognize:))
In case anyone missed it there is a comment in my Shout Box about my using a paragraph from one of my previous posts. A re-written paragraph I may add. Occasionally on a slow writing day or for whatever reason I may chose I will go back & pull up something I have written about previously over the years. I sometimes do the same with file photos. Subject matters are still current & with new readers always dropping by the content is always new to them. I am curious about something though. Wondering how readers feel about a Blogger sometimes using file photos or excerpts from previous posts. Does it fall under the lash of being repetitive or is it just an personal burr under someone’s saddle again. When I pull a paragraph, topic, or photo out of my own files I do so for a reason. Should a Blogger be required to add a disclaimer saying it is a file photo, or a paragraph from a previous post? Just curious. And just for the record……all words & photos for tonight’s post come fresh from tonight’s mind:))
Because of our recent cold wet weather we haven’t been doing very much in the rig but tonight with ‘feeling good’ sunny weather upon us again I slipped out & took a few photos of how our couch makes into a bed. With the press of a button it takes a smooth 15 seconds to have the couch made into a bed or vice versa. This is the slickest & most practical couch/bed we have ever had in any of our RV’s. A covered piece of foam behind the couch can easily be placed on top. Pheebs & I have been on it for a few scruffles & it seems comfortable even without the foam. My first night’s sleep on the bed will be the true test though.
COUCH IN NORMAL POSITION
COUCH CAN BE USED IN ANY POSITION FOR RECLINING –-- FOLDS DOWN INTO A MINI-BED
WITH EASE THE BOTTOM SECTION IS MANUALLY PULLED OUT (PRETTY DARN CUTE MODEL i HAVE TONIGHT I’D SAY)
CENTER PART LIFTS UP & CAN BE USED AS A FOOT REST, COFFEE TABLE, OR WHATEVER –-- BED FULLY DEPLOYED HAS LOTS OF ROOM FOR PHEEBS & I
AND THE BULK OF THE WORK IS DONE BY THIS SIMPLE LITTLE SWITCH IN THE COUCH ARM
We ended our day under clearing skies & temperatures over the next 2 days are predicted to rocket up into the 80’s. Can you hear me complaining about the heat related humidity already. I can but I will try to keep a lid on it best I can………………….
ON OUR WALK TONIGHT I SPOTTED THIS TWO HEADED CANADA GOOSE
GROANER’S CORNER:(( The balding middle-aged man asked his barber, "Why do I have to pay full price for a haircut -- there's so little of my hair left." "Well," said the barber, "actually I only charge a little for cutting it. What you're paying for mostly is my time searching for what little hair you have left."
Use any part of your writing or photography any time you want. I have not spotted any repetitiveness about your writing.
ReplyDeleteWe don't complain about the heat, I can always cool down. .
ReplyDeleteTime to get those wheels on down the road soon.
I sometimes have used a picture from the past for various reasons. I write the blog for myself and think it might interest my kids when I'm gone. I'm happy to hear from people when they read it, though and through blogging I've found people like you that are interesting, talented writers, and wonderful photographers.
ReplyDeleteI write when the mood strikes. I wish I had had a blog when Rich was alive and we traveled. Fortunately, I have diaries and 35mm pictures, and I enjoy going back and reading about all the wonderful times we had together at home and traveling.
Don't write to please anyone but yourself, Al.
Hey Bayfield Bunch! I've been following your adventures for a few months now and I really enjoy your writing. You can write about anything you want and reuse pictures anytime you want. It won't keep me away. I've noticed bloggers refer to their own previous posts often and usually do it with a link and that's okay too. Keep 'em coming!!
ReplyDeleteI like how the couch's l normal position has Phebs on it. :) As well for repeating yourself or your pictures, I love it all. As has been said above, it's your blog; do what you want.
ReplyDeleteWhy are you complaining about needing heat in the morning? Have you forgotten, you live in CANADA? :-)
ReplyDeleteI feel like you are perfectly free to write whatever you like on your blog. If someone doesn't agree with the way you write it, or what you say, they are perfectly free to refrain from visiting your blog. I just don't get people who complain about another's posts - just don't read it if it bothers you,
ReplyDeleteKeep on keeping on, Al. There are lots of us who enjoy your writing and your photos.
Al,
ReplyDeleteHere's a thought...when you want to re-purpose some text content, how about using a subhead? Something like "From the Best of the Bayfield Bunch". It's a tactic that works well for radio/tv -- may as well try it in blog-land!

ReplyDeleteAL,
First of all, your thoughts, writing and photos are top of the line .... Secondly, it is terrific to have a second look at a "vintage" thought and to renew what may have been a favorite topic first time around ..... As far as photos are concerned, oh just to ooooh and ahhhhhh again over a shot that was special and hit the spot the first time....... Never gets old for me ...... Just like the current header, when you presented that again, I was thrilled ....it was a fav the first time around.... Loved it coming back in all it's splendor !!!
Thanks always, AL, for THE ORIGINALS and the RERUNS .... You're keeping me happy .....
PS.... The coach looks comfy .... The magic button makes it easy to hit the sack !!!
Thanks for the shout.
ReplyDeleteThat is a nifty couch / bed you have there. I guess with that extension, you can sleep at any angle.
I enjoyed the bird pics.
We have run heat very day since we got back home. It has been Sunny days, but still the house stays chilly.
Wow, Pheebs photo is great! I enjoyed that site, thanks for recommending. I think my most favorite picture of Pheebs is on your blog of February 18, 2014. She is so dadgum proud of that green pepper and just prancing! I love that photo (and all of them!)

Love that first photo Al! The last two mornings we have walked without jackets, a first!
ReplyDeleteWhat an great bed/couch in the new RV. So versatile and I love how it extends for Pheebs. I want one :)
ReplyDeleteI'll say right off that I'm dumbfounded when anyone criticizes the way anyone else writes, or what they write about. I love my blog because it's kind of a journal about our life. If someone who's reading it doesn't like it they can certainly stop reading at any time... or even just delete me from their list. Kind of like "unfriending" me on Facebook, I guess. I've been reading your blog for over 2 years and feel you write from the heart. It's your blog... it should make you happy.
