Rain let up long enough this afternoon for me to get out a few garden tools & begin scratching away at our Spring clean-up. A few snow flakes in the air, a few sleet pellets, & the rain was back. We sure are missing our warm sunny Arizona days. Turned out to be a quiet day sorting through Uncle Harry’s belongings. Better blogging days ahead but for tonight…..just a short post.

GROANER'S CORNER:(( A sweet young thing who has just been shopping is pulled over by a traffic cop and given a ticket for speeding. Rather than fight the ticket, the woman writes a check for the amount of the fine and puts it in the mail.
However, the young woman is anxious. Her husband always examines her checkbook carefully, and she doesn't want him to know about the incident.
Then inspiration strikes, and she scribbles on the check stub: "One pullover, $125."

ReplyDeleteThe weather seems to be wet and messy in a lot of places.... Here in Sarasota, we have sunny warm days and a nice breeze .... But rain seems to be on the way in a day or two....
Glad you are taking a slow day here and there with an R&R in the recliner..... That will get you back in shape after the long ride home and the added chores helping Uncle Harry out ....
All the best, Sally Sir Duke sends Pheebes a big tail wag and a friendly bark ...

I consider any day in the70's darn near perfect. That's what is has been here all week. Also dry and sunny! In weeks like this I sometimes wonder why I'm so eager to travel away in our RV. Getting excited, leaving on Saturday for at least three weeks.
ReplyDeleteI can identify with the difficult task of going through Uncle Harry's things.Rainy cold days fit the feeling. My regards to both of you.
ReplyDeleteWere missin you missin these warm, sunny days too Al and Kelly!!
ReplyDeleteWell, if it helps any, the weather here in Moab hasn't been peachy. We've had rain, snow flurries, wind, and below freezing nights. Now it was only two days but still! Hang in there, warmer days are ahead.
ReplyDeleteA dreary day with sad tasks can leave you longing for sunshine. It won't be long before the sun will shine again on Bayfield and in your hearts. Take care.
ReplyDeleteMomma said there would be days like this!..hang in there Bayfield Bunch the sun will come out eventually!
ReplyDeleteIt was sunny here on the coast but the rains are coming yet again!
