SPOTTED US A COUPLE BEAVER TAIL CACTUS BLOOMS THIS MORNING
We woke up with a sense of urgency this morning. Received a phone call late Monday afternoon from the Ritz Villa Care Facility in Mitchell Ontario where my 96 year old Uncle Harry lives. Uncle Harry’s health took a sudden & serious downturn Monday afternoon. He is now bedridden with a high fever, low oxygen levels, etc. Congested lungs & a diagnosis of severe Pneumonia. When we called first thing this morning his pulse was low & he has been barely responsive. A close friend stayed by his bedside throughout the night. Doctor said the prognosis was not good.
Kelly was busy on the phone today trying to tie up last minute loose ends here & making arrangements back home in case Uncle Harry doesn’t make it. My day was mainly spent wrapping up outside things, laundry, packing the Sunseeker, etc. It does not look like there is going to be enough time for us to make it back & say good-bye…………….

It must be difficult when time and distance will not allow you to touch and be near your uncle. Take solace in knowing he has felt the love an care you gave him over the years and probably knows it now. I am sending positive thoughts your way as you travel home toward Uncle Harry.
ReplyDeleteSorry you've received this news. Harry knows you are there in spirit.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you in your sadness over not being able to be there with him. It must be so hard to be so far away at this moment.
ReplyDeleteIt's tough when the final Good Bye shows up and you can't even make it in person. Had the same situation with my mother. I felt so bad that I was so far away during her last moments. It still makes me feel very sad.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry to hear this. I lost my uncle overnight last fall. He died peacefully in his sleep, but none of us was prepared for his passing.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Uncle Harry. Too bad that are not there now, but you can't do much more for him. You did visit him frequently during the summer months and we know he appreciated that.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Uncle Harry. I hope you all find peace.
ReplyDeleteUncle Harry knows you and Kelly love him..Please travel safely, he is in God's hands now..
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about Uncle Harry,,, You have mentioned him so many times that I feel we know him. God Bless him, unfortunately, recovery at his age would be nothing short of a miracle. But, you and I know, miracles do happen.
ReplyDeleteGod has a plan,,,
Bless you all, but he is well cared for and there is not much you could do even if you were there....
Be SAFE!!!
