AT THE FOOT OF GHOST MOUNTAIN LOOKING TOWARDS JULIAN CALIFORNIA…… FEBRUARY 2012
Ok, yes.....Kelly & I are seriously considering selling our place here in Bayfield. We own our house but not the land it sit's on. Among other reasons, we think the time may be right for us to make some changes.
HIKING THE GHOST MOUNTAIN TRAIL
Alright, moving right along. Got up about 5:30 this morning & had a coffee with my socks on. Opened the patio door beside my chair & began the day with a relaxing chorus of Spring songbirds. Kelly was off to work while Pheebs & I stayed home doing yard work.
My main intention tonight is to keep today's post short & to the point for a change. As Sargent Joe Friday used to say years ago in the TV series, 'Dragnet,' "just the facts Ma'am, just the facts!!"
That's it from the Bayfield Bunch......sweet:))
He went there, lay on the couch, spilled his guts then waited for the profound wisdom of the psychiatrist to make him feel better.
The psychiatrist asked him a few questions, took some notes then sat thinking in silence for a few minutes with a puzzled look on his face. Suddenly, he looked up with an expression of delight and said, "Um, I think your problem is low self-esteem. It is very common among losers."

Just curious -- how do you own the house but not the land it sits on...just wondering:o)
ReplyDeleteNot enough facts, Al, not enough facts.
ReplyDeleteSuppose you are like us. We own a trailer and pay rent for it to stay on a lot in a campground.
ReplyDeleteHave an aunt in FL who lives in a senior community. She owns the double wide, but pays rent for it to stay where it is.
It was time for a change for my husband and I when we moved from BC to Alberta last August. I just got back from ten days visiting everyone in BC and even though I miss everyone and it is a beautiful province, there are no regrets with the move. The change has done us good!
ReplyDeleteChange is good Al, and it makes you a happier camper too, how can you lose.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE That last photo with the Pheebs in it. Gorgeous !~
ReplyDeleteWe had considered buying in a park such as you have near Ottawa but the lot rent was nearly $500 per month and not nearly as pretty an area as yours. In fact, not pretty at all! As JB says, change is good!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have lots to think about.
ReplyDeleteWe don't blame you for selling - we aren't good with owning a house on leased land. Our first DE cottage was like that. We waited till the right time and bought where we owned the house and the land. It'll work out - you two can do it!
ReplyDeleteIt will all work out the way it is supposed to as my dear Mother used to say
ReplyDeleteYup, sure sounds like you two have a lot on your plate right now... again! Good luck with all your planning...
ReplyDeletejust the facts and that's what this post was!..hope you sell quickly and find the home of your dreams!
ReplyDeleteLOL You really know how to fire up our curiosity! More infor please!
ReplyDeleteObserve the turtle, he only makes progress when his neck is out of the shell! If you take a few chances, you will reap the rewards.......
ReplyDeleteOnly your socks? ;)
ReplyDeleteA change is always good, hope you had clean socks on, incase somebody saw you.
ReplyDeleteNow that was factual, but perhaps TMI about only having socks on... :)
ReplyDeleteI think you are making the right decision. A bigger rig can take you to a hundred Bayfields, but your hearts are in the desert where you new house is.
ReplyDeletecouple of lots here for sale, still. Its beautiful! QUIET and peaceful. Hint, hint.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are on a roll!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I used to say I don't like change, I believe the truth is that I'm addicted to it. And, I think that's just fine.
If memory serves, tomorrow is "blast off" day....thinking of you tonight.
ReplyDeleteIf memory serves, tomorrow is "blast off" day....thinking of you tonight.
ReplyDeleteThinking of you both!
ReplyDeleteyou always show nice place through your post.
ReplyDeleteNice work.
