CAN YOU TELL WE CAME ACROSS SOME CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS TODAY
Both Kelly & I busied ourselves today cleaning up & organizing one of our backyard sheds. With the acquisition of our Congress Arizona house we now have a place for a lot of our ‘stuff’. In fact we have so much stuff we can take with us in the Fall we might have to leave the Jeep at home & rent a big U-Haul trailer. Ya right….we will not be leaving the Jeep at home!! Kelly already has several large plastic bins packed so you can just imagine the load we are going to have by October.
I’D SAY WE HAVE MADE SOME PROGRESS IN OUR CLEAN-UP
Made an appointment for the end of the month with my Nurse Practitioner. Gotta get these legs of mine looked at & see what’s going on with them. Kelly thinks part of the problem is the damper climate here at home & I agree. I also know it’s more than just the dampness though. Might have to strongly ramp up my Arthritis pills. By the way, Doc Robot is not my regular Doctor. He is a Urology Specialist. I do have a family Doctor but I have never been sick enough to meet him yet. So far, any problems I’ve had have always been handled by my Nurse Practitioner.
STILL CAN’T BRING MYSELF TO THROW OUT MY OLD COLLEGE JACKET
Following a link on SPOTTED DOG RANCH this morning I came across THE BACK PORCH VIEW. Here is a lady standing at a Crossroads in her life trying to make a decision. Feeling a need for change she has been reading blogs & ponders the Gypsy like RV lifestyle. I’m sure she would appreciate any thoughts.
KELLY WORKS AWAY AT SOME STUFF DESTINED FOR ARIZONA
Looks like we may have 3 days of rain rolling in on us so it’s not sounding like any kind of exciting week-end ahead. As if our week-ends are ever exciting anymore. But, there was a day:)) Gonna be a stretch putting a few posts together.
MALE RED BREASTED GROSBEAK
We receive many nice emails from folks & I’ll share this one that came in today……
Hi Al & Kelly;
Found our summer campground in Clifford ON, will be moving in the week of May 7. See The pictures here:

So, I was in the laundry here at Milton Heights (west of Toronto Ontario) where I was talking to a woman, who had just returned from wintering in the Rio Grand Valley, Tx, telling her about our winter here in Canada. Mentioned my blog project and she said "Oh we always follow this blog called The Bayfield Bunch." Had a nice chat about blogging and she's going to try her hand at it. This blogging is great fun.
Robo Doc sounds scary, but too close to reality.
Stay well;

Noticed we have a couple new Blog Followers today. DESERT DIVA has just joined our Snow Bird lifestyle along with BRUCE & DEE who I think just checked out our Congress digs. Thanks for your interest in our blog folks:))

"Yes, doctor. My husband thinks he's the boss."
- "Young man, do you think you can handle a variety of work?"
"I ought to be able to. I've had 12 different jobs in four months."
- I was thinking of becoming a doctor.
I have the handwriting for it.
- "What do use for washing dishes?"
"Oh, I tried many things but found my husband works best."

The shed looks a lot better, but what happened to the lawn mower?
ReplyDeleteJust a suggestion...you might want to remove the 'male' word in your great picture of the blue jay. Both sexes look alike unless you have them in your hand in spring. Not sure you want to know the details involved in that... ;)
How right you are about needing health care as you get older. Donna would retire if we could have healthcare benefits. With insurance still took 2 years to pay our portion of her heart surgery. Hope they find out whats bothering you legs. Great pics as usual
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of work/fun ahead planning out what you will take with you back to Arizona. I know the jeep won't be staying in Canada next year...that's part of the fun.
ReplyDeleteI saw a male grosbeak yesterday but didn't have may camera with me.
Thanks for the post Al.
Now you can divide your "stuff" by time of year. Everything winter goes one place and everything summer another. Hope it doesn't turn into twice as much stuff.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your legs. It really is such a disappointment when things don't work the way they always have. I'm always surprised, like, how can this be happening.

I am sorry to hear of your aches and pains...in response to it maybe being arthritis, I have found that if I do not eat wheat, my pain is ever so much less. I have no idea if that would help you (and it is NOT fun to avoid wheat) but it is cheap and it can be done. And it is better than taking meds, from my perspective anyway. Just a thought...

Not sure you call it the same as we do but...great letter jacket!
ReplyDeleteNice work cleaning things out. Hey, Al, we had breakfast this morning with The Sons Of The Pioneers at the Main St. Diner in Pendleton, Oregon. Maybe it was just a picture of them, but it was a good one! They had old photos of a lot of folks we recognized from ages past...the 40's 50's and 60's. Neat place...good food.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Pheebs was in the wrong place at the wrong time...but she is being a good sport about it. What a dog! The shed looks much better.
ReplyDeletePheebs is looking to the sky for Santa and the other reindeer...or else for someone to rescue her from her crazy Pops. :)
ReplyDeleteYup, just as I thought, stuff. Be careful, be very careful...It will follow you to Arizona and then you're sunk.
Gorgeous pics of the birds in your neighborhood, Al!! Birds we only get to see when we go east! I can count their feathers, the photos are so crisp!
ReplyDeletePheebs looks so cute as Rudolf! :)
Kelly is such a hard worker!
I wondered how you were going to fill your new home in Congress! :)
Your letter jacket is sure different from the ones I grew up with in AZ. What kinds of sports/music/stuff did you do?
ReplyDeleteEmjay
Looka like there is going to be a big load heading south in the fall!..nice to have someplace to take all the extra stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteMy aches and pains come back now with the cool and damp climate here in Ontario. Most of the winter all is good in Arizona.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you need two U Hauls, one behind the jeep and one behind the coach, take your motorcycle too. But the cost of driving two vehicles and two rentals you could by a lot of stuff down there.
Maybe one of those huge trailer that you could drive the Jeep into... then pack all the "stuff" around it would work... I'm sure you'll find a way ;-) I especially like the rose-breasted grosbeak... isn't he gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteIts moving up into the 90's down here in Congress now Al,,,,,But you know the saying "It's a DRY heat"!!!:-)
ReplyDeleteReally our house is very cool,,,,even without A/C.
Plans are right now for us to leave May 24TH,,,,,,We plan on starting construction in Custer on June4....
Its really quiet here,,everyone (almost) is gone....or leaving soon...
Hope you get your legs fixed.....
Your bird pictures are as good as, if not better, than those found in bird books or in Nat. Geo.
ReplyDeleteI think arthritis, A.K.A. "Arthur", is part of the aging process. My legs ache after our 2mile walk..but then...so do my feet.."Why do you walk?", you ask...JUST BECAUSE I CAN!!
ReplyDeleteShed looks fantastic...Sure wish I could get McGyver to part with some useless stuff. I would tell you some of it, but it's just too embarrassing..
By the time you have all the stuff together to go to AZ there won't be room for either of you or Pheebs. Could always tow a uhaul and drive the jeep separate.
ReplyDeleteshed looks great..and I love the pic of the Pheebs...she is such a cutie...looking forward to seeing how you lug all that extra STUFF to AZ :) hope your legs feel better soon...
